Extended Stay America - Rochester - Greece

I have stayed at worse places for more money!!! Amazing....like your own studio apartment....very comfortable almost feels like home!!!

I was in town while my sister was having spinal surgery at a nearby hospital. I needed a place close to the hospital, reasonably priced, clean and friendly. How fortunate I was to receive all of the above. The staff, especially [...]at the desk, were all amazingly helpful and friendly. Should I ever be in the Rochester area again, I would definitely stay here again.

Summary: I look for a clean, affordable place to stay, and this fit the bill. Pros: Clean. The clerks were pleasant and responsive. Good bed. We didn't need it, but the kitchenette area would be useful for a longer stay. It's back in what appears to be a quiet area. We heard no noise from other guests (either great sound insulation or quiet guests) Cons: it showed wear in places (carpet, chipped woodwork), and if you're fussy, you may not be happy. The room was designated non-smoking, but it appeared to have been a smoking room in the past that wasn't completely deodorized (to be fair, it definitely wasn't recent smoke). Wireless access costs 4.99. Misc: No restaurant in hotel, and I don't think is one in walking distance. However, there are options on the main street in the vicinity. The sign is small, and it's way back along an access road past other hotels.

Very nice room but the smell of cigaretts was over powering. I had to buy air freshner to counteract the smell.

Would stay again

The hotel and staff in itself were nice and pleasant, but the other guests were rowdy and loud with total disregard for anyone else trying to get some rest. They stood outside in a group after midnight laughing and cursing as if they were in a bar. Then when they did go in, they were loud in the halls and seemed to be moving furniture in their rooms or tossing something heavy around. VERY annoying. It has nothing to do with the hotel or staff, just these uncouth guests. In review of the room, it was fine but smelled of cigarettes which was quite nauseating since I'm a non-smoker.

I wanted a place to stay while visiting family and didn't want to stay with just one family member so chose a hotel. The location was central for me to visit everyone. It was nice having a refrigerator and microwave and laundry. Allowed me the freedom to do what I wanted and see who I wanted. Convenient location. Not as nice a room as like a Comfort Inn but it suited the purpose...would stay there again.

The hotel was not clean, and poorly maintained. The formica was held to the counter top with strapping tape. the recliner chair was broken/worn out. Floor was not clean, drawers full of hair and crumbs from previous guests. Cupboards had leftover food boxes also. It was a small miracle to even find the place in the dark as there is no actual sign, just a small metal sign stuck in the ground the size of a "House for sale " sign. How does a place this new get this run down? If I had been traveling with my family we would have left immediately. The only reason I stayed was that I was traveling alone & didn't feel like dealing with the hassle of finding another place on Thanksgiving. This is a bit lengthy but the bottom line is NEVER AGAIN!

I just wish I was informed of the additional charge for bring my dog. other than that the hotel was clean and about 10 minutes from where ever you want to go

Room was not very clean and smelled of smoke even though it was a non-smoking room.
