Very bad !

Hotel smells. Staff was rude. Breakfast was bad. Very noisy. Simply a horrible experience.

OK, Did the job

I was dropping my daughter off at Plattsburgh State College, it's very close to the college and one of the few hotels that was still avaliable. The staff could not have been lovelier or more helpful. But the room itself was not terribly clean, the towels were thin and cheap, the room small - low ceilings. And, honestly, I don't even know why I booked thru [...], I ended up having to stay an extra night and the regular room rate was the same rate I paid [...] - no savings there. The only reason I use [...] it because I thought they saved me money - not true.

True "Econo" Lodging

Stayed one night. Friendly check-in desk, clean room. Just like the motels we would stay at when I was growing up. Nothing fancy, just a reasonable night's stay. The front desk even gave me a courtesy check-out time of noon (instead of 11). Free wi-fi. Great place for the price.

Plattsburgh Econolodge

It was pleasant & the service was friendly & efficient. Most important of all - the price was very affordable!

It works

We just needed a place to sleep for 2 nights, while visiting our daughter at SUNY-Plattsburgh. It works. But maids started vacuuming and chatting in the hallway at 7 AM. Too noisy. And no hard-boiled eggs or any other protein at breakfast.

Keeps truckin' on

The price was fair enough, however the hotel clearly has seen better days. Of course this reflects upon the clientele frequenting the motel (not every one can afford more, we all need to keep budgets in sight). Generally, clean, the motel could use a full make-over. But as it is booked full anyway, the owners may have decided to let it go while it lasts (except for the newly renovated lobby, first impressions count). Rooms are somewhat stuffy and breakfast is obviously very basic.In short, an affordable, short-term, for now, one-time stop.
