Wingate by Wyndham Manhattan Midtown

This was my second time staying at the Wingate and I've been satisfied both times. The staff are extremely friendly and super helpful. They would take the time to greet you every time they saw you. I was continuously greeted by the cleaners especially. The location is just a few blocks away from Time Square which was convenient for me because I went to a show at the Best Buy Theater. The rooms may seem kind of small but I was only there to sleep and shower so I didn't mind it. I would definitely stay here again.

I typically stay in this area of the city when I go because it is within walking distance to pretty much anything in midtown. The bonus is that it is between the 7th and 8th, so you don't get all of the street traffic. However, if you are a really light sleeper like I am the sound machine comes in handy. Front desk staff were always helpful and the restaurant in the lobby was yummy the first night I needed a quick bite after a long flight.

Hotel was in a great location! Clean!! And staff was very friendly and helpful! We are looking forward to going back to New York, and we know where we will be staying!!

Front desk staff were very friendly and helpful. Room size was good. Location is excellent. One can walk to major attractions. Near bus and subway lines. Morning breakfast was very good. Two days in a row, housekeeping did not provide new soap, but this was rectified as soon as I called the front desk. I would stay here again when I return to NYC.

My husband and I took his Mother to NYC. The location of the hotel was perfect for walking everywhere! It was close to everything including subways for easy transportation!! We loved the breakfast; it had everything!! We ate there every morning...they even had "make your own waffles". The room was great with a frig/micro. We brought drinks to the room and used the frig to store them. We did not have a view at all (of another building), but everything else was too perfect to complain about the view. We will stay at this hotel again when in NYC!! Thank you to the staff for being very friendly.

The location is great - 7 blocks from anywhere really! The subway is close and the staff help with directions...oh and the STAFF... just wonderful. Roberto was super friendly and helpful, and all the staff really made you feel like you were not bothering them but more like "hey, we want you to enjoy your stay in our city!" Would stay again and would recommend to anyone. Great job!

Thoroughly enjoyed the stay. Clean, great location, and responsive to questions. Fitness facility was small, but good enough for basic workout. Location was very accommodating between Penn Station and Time Square. Highly recommend this hotel for the business traveler seeking middle of the road accommodations that are not too pricy, clean, and easy in and out of NYC. Excellent value.

My overall experience was good. The room size was surprisingly big by NYC standards. Also the room was clean. I can't comment on the service given that it was only an overnight stay. We arrived, unpacked, got dress and left. We didn't return until much later and we left the next morning. I found it very convenient in location to where we were dropped off (Penn Station). I'll definitely consider staying at this hotel again on my next trip to NYC which will be in 2 to 3 months.

We needed a hotel that was within good walking distance to Madison Square Garden and Times Square and this was very good. Small hotel (17 floors only have 6 rooms on each floor) the rooms were a good size for NYC. Clean and updated with a good hot breakfast every day (waffles, eggs, bacon, fruit, etc). That alone saves you $ from eating out. We found the staff to be helpful and nice - perfect for travelers. We had a room at the top of the hotel and in the back so it was very quiet - wonderful! Business center was also great for printing the boarding passes.

We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The room was large enough, the bed was very comfortable, had a view of the empire state building and withing 2 blocks of Penn Station and Times Square. Breaksfast in the morning was really good. We would definitely stay there again!
