Not great - but clean and convienent
Except for traveling in Europe, this has to be the smallest hotel room I have stayed in. Had a double and single in the room because if they put a queen in you wouldnt be able to walk on either end. Place was clean, and relatively safe (should have buzzer on front door to protect the clerk) but on the edge of China town, which is not the greatest neighborhood. And at $225/night at a discount rate - not great - just happened to be a busy weekend where other hotels were booked or very high rates - if you have other options, take it.

Not much for the price
Very small room, beat up furniture and drapes, mold in bath tub. Just two towels, no washclothes or hand towels. Nice TV, staff pleasant. Location is good for access to subway, Chinatown and remains of Little Italy

Terrible. rooms in basement w/o window.
After staying in the hotel for three days, I realized that the hotel is scamming the vacationers. On my first night, the manager informed me that my booked room had water problem and told my family of three with a baby to stay in the basement room without any window, and without any bathroom/shower facilities. For that, the manager promised to a free upgrade for the next two day stays. The second day was fine. Then for the third day, another manager told us to move to another room. When mentioning the agreement with the first manager, the manager did not care and started yelling like a street gangster. After 10 to 15 minutes of verbal argument, I demanded to talk to the owner of the hotel, then that mean manager backed out. To make the long story short, my stay was horrible and destroyed my spirit of enjoying my vacation. What is worst is that during the last two day stays of the hotel, I continued to see people to move up from the basement to their reserved rooms. Then I realized that I have been scammed like the others I see in the hotel when I hear the same stories from the other travelers that they were sent to live the basement without any window or bathroom/shower. From all these happenings, I believe the hotel is trying to maximize their profit by leasing out basement rooms as hotel rooms and charge the customers at regular premium prices, otherwise the basement is illegal to lease because of the lack of windows. After all, what is the probability that I encountered three families having the same problems in two days time. Their practice is very unethical because in the case of fire, the customers would be smoked to death or barbarcued. So, stay away from this hotel because the stay will definitely mess up your vacation.

Okay Hotel
Overall the hotel was clean and quiet, so the stay isn't bad. The only problem is the internet did not work as their provider Verizon service went down and it was out of order for a week which I was not happy about at all.

I understand prices are all-around
I understand prices are all-around very high in NY, and I did appreciate the incredible discount provided by booking online! However, for student international travelers, I believe it is still too much money! Please consider dropping costs. Facilities were ok, being as there was no fresh coffee or tea as advertised by the front desk. However, I was VERY pleased with the basic amenities provided by the hotel, including clean rooms and free internet.

You Get What you Pay For
I had never really stayed for an extended amount of time in the Chinatown area. It honestly is not my favorite place so I am a little biased. The hotel is conveniently located right across from the subway (hence the super location). The staff was very friendly and helpful whenever I had questions about how to get somewhere or locations. However, the room was too small to comfortably fit my friends and I (we were a party of 4). There was no mini-fridge even though they said their would be, and my key card kept deactivating. I did get a great deal, so I recommend this place for people on a budget.
