Location was on point you could see times square from across the road outside starbucks which is dead opposite the hotel. The hotel was lovely friendly and clean just the bathroom could do with an upgrade and a spring clean. Would use this hotel again as this is the 2nd time already.

Birthday Celebration

Would not recommend Fri, Jan 15, 2016
I was highly disappointed with the service at the Wellington Hotel. I was put in the wrong hotel room twice. I paid for a Deluxe Double-Double room and, was first put in a Standard room and then in a Standard double-double room. When I checked in, I wasn't even notified that they had overbooked their Deluxe Double-Double rooms. They thought I wouldn't notice that I had paid for a better room. In the end, I wasn't even placed in a Deluxe Double-Double room. I remained in the Standard Double-Double room because I had no other option. I won't be going back to the Wellington Hotel EVER.

First time in new york

Would recommend Thu, Jan 14, 2016
Hotel Wellington was in a fab location literally 5 minutes to Central Park and 5 minutes to Times Square, the hotel itself is clean staff were friendly enough but it is a little dated, some of the lights in the bedroom were broken paint needed a touch up but these were only small things and didn't bother us in the slightest!! I would def stay here again.

Awefull personal trip

Would not recommend Sun, Dec 6, 2015
Quite periodically (throughout the night) there is a weird noise which sounds like construction of iron tubes. It's very loud and annoying. This noise can wake up anyone. Curtains are so dirty that I'm afraid to touch them. Wifi is expensive. No gym is in the hotel. Wish I was paying better attention when I booked it. The hotel doesn't worth the money I paid for it.

Girls trip

Would recommend Mon, Nov 23, 2015
The hotel lobby is nice. The room we first were brought to did not look anything like the pictures I had seen on the website. I had expected a room with a bar and refrigerator, they showed me one with those amenities but they were on the back side of the hotel and it was dingy and smelled kind of moldy. We opted to go back to the first room. It was tiny, but did have 2 bathrooms which did work out nicely for 3 girls. The people were friendly and the location was good for walking access to Central park, museums and times square.

Holiday visit to New York

Would not recommend Sun, Nov 22, 2015
On the first night our bed was too small, the room was too hot and the basin plug did not work. The next day we were moved to another room where the bed was bigger but the bath/shower was so unhygienic that we felt unable to use those facilities. The rooms need refurbishing as they are the same as when I was there 20 years ago. The visit to New York was brilliant and after getting good guidance from the Tourist Information Centre in the hotel we had three really good days sightseeing. The location of the hotel for sightseeing is perfect. When we left one of the porters arranged transport back to JFK which was based on the journey plus tolls plus tip for 70 dollars. When we got to JFK the driver said that he wanted a tip. I said that the tip was included and he said that the porter was a naughty boy and that he had done this before!!.
