Radiating history from its walls, the Wellington Hotel New York?built in 1901?stands apart from the fast pace of modern city life surrounding it. The plush lobby is decked out in rich tones and intricate murals, while focal chandeliers give the interiors a classical ambience.  If you are here on business, the hotel?s central location and 24-hour business center will cater to your every need. Midtown Manhattan is full of excellent restaurants; gourmets would do well to try the Wellington?s delicious plates of Greek mezze at the Molyvos restaurant, or the Park Cafe's informal all-day dining options.

Great location for midtown spots: Central Park, Lincoln Center, etc

Everything was fine, except I would like to have had a coffee pot in the room. Concierge guys especially helpful with directions and transportation services.

Close to the heart of New York

The hotel was a nice, clean hotel. Beautiful decor and architecture. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful to this small town Indiana girl who got stuck in New York because of a cancelled flight. I did have trouble keeping the room cool, it was like an oven in there.

Great location on a budget

It's difficult to find a more ideal location than that occupied by the Wellington - next door to Carnegie Hall in the theater district, and with a stop for the Q/N/R Broadway subway line directly beneath. The rooms are small and basic, but they are clean and well-maintained. The staff is professional and competent. This is a great hotel for a vacation stay, particularly on a budget.

Get an unlimited ride metrocard and use the subway to get around. It's faster and cheaper than taxis.

Great NYC get away

We took a quick weekend get-a-way to the theater district and found everything to be in walking distance. TimeSquare, Broadway etc etc.. Great location and really nice reception. WiFi was not free.

Within Walking Distance to Central Park and Rockefeller Center!

Close proximity to NYC attractions such as Central Park, Rockefeller Center, Top of the Rock Observatory, the legendary Carnegie Deli and Carnegie Hall, Radio City Music Hall (home of the world-famous Rockettes), and so much more! Staff was outstanding! Only wish temperature controls in room was more effective as heat was entirely too warm in December and windows had to be opened during entire stay to help cool off to sleep, which made it hard to sleep due to street noise. Overall good experience except for lack of effective temperature control.

Great location

Nice hotel! Room was small but very nicely appointed. Location was perfect, close to everything, yet quiet. Will definitely stay there again. The transportation portion of the package was excellent!!

Not gonna stay there again

The room was way too small and our room was next to the elevator so it was noisy every morning. Also, the heat was too high and there was no controller in the room, I woke up with headache and bad cough every morning. If I kept the window open, the noise from the street was not acceptable. It's great location, but that's it.

Nice place to stay with family

Great location! However, I want a kettle to cook the water for my younger sister, but no one help me after I talked with the housekeeper. This is the only problem I had there.
