Needs some T.L.C.
Immediately changed rooms on arrival allocated room was small and unclean. Staff accomodating but lack sparkle.Hotel in need of serious refurb, it's shabby! Second room more spacious ,bathrooms tiny sheets and towels clean and changed daily. Don't use the Greek restaurant it's overpriced and pretentious, cafe convenient and reasonable.Best thing about this hotel was location but shall not be returning.

The Wellington
We thought the location was perfect. Just far enough away from Times Square and close enough to Lincon Center, Radio City, and Central Park South to walk. Room was clean and had modern bath fixtures. Naturally, it wasn't the largest, but it was quiet and the hotel seemed uncrowded despite being full.

The Deli across the street from Carnigie Hall on 7th was a great place for breakfast, inexpensive, and mainly for the neighborhood, not the tourists. It gives you a slice to the real NYC.

Great location!
I was a bit disappointed with the size of the room but considering the little amount of time we actually spent in our rooms it was worth it. The location of the hotel is great. It's just a few blocks from MoMA, Times Square and other attractions. There's also a subway stop right outside. Great location!

Superb Location!
Couldn't have asked for a better location - 3 minute walk from Central Park, Fifth Avenue and Columbus Circle (with shopping centre), 8 minute walk from Times Square, this hotel may not be 5 star luxury but it's perfectly comfortable (2 large beds in a twin room) and clean enough for a short break. We also recommend the diner directly beneath the hotel which was always packed - that has to say something! Definitely recommended.

First NYC Trip
This was my first trip to NYC and I loved everything. We were right by a subway station and everything was at the tip of our fingers. When we first arrived at 9am we were exhausted and expected our room to be ready, but the receptionist, Carolyn said there was nothing she could do and try again 6 hours LATER at 3PM!!! Luckily the manager overheard and he proceeded to upgrade us to the king sized room. Needless to say everything was great at the hotel including room service! Would recommend it again!

A Home Away from Home
This is our fourth time to stay at the Wellington. That says a great deal about how comfortable and at home we feel there, especially because of the staff, who are so friendly as to seem like family -- and they did the first time there as well as the fourth. The location of the hotel is wonderful. It is close to many restaurants in every price range imaginable. It is within walking distance of the theater district and shopping. There is a subway station practically in the lobby. And don't pass up The Park Cafe!

Carve: Wonderful pizza; great, friendly staff at 47th Street and 8th Avenue. You can get a HUGE slice of pizza and a drink for under $10. When you finish eating, walk up a block and visit Scent-a-late, a great litle shop with unique merchandise. It is on 48th Street just a few doors west of 8th Avenue.
