Hotel address: 65 West 54TH Street, New York, NY 10019
New York City, NY
Laguardia International Airport John F Kennedy International Airpot
The Warwick Hotel offers an ideal location in midtown with proximity to many of Manhattans business and financial areas and most popular attractions.
This property has a smoke-free policy
Randolph's, a newly expanded and refurbished restaurant and lounge, is designed more like a living room than a bar, with cushy sofas and armchairs and large windows overlooking the drama along Avenue of the Americas. There’s an express business lunch menu, an extensive wine list, and a bar staff with an encyclopedic knowledge of cocktails, from traditional to trendier-than-thou. Because RANDOLPH'S is situated amid the Midtown business and tourism district, it's the perfect place for a relaxed business chat or a pre- or post-theatre rendezvous.
Murals on 54, the hotel's refurbished dining room, features innovative continental cuisine with international influences, with a delectable menu consisting of mouth-watering fresh grilled dishes and a variety of fine seafood with strong French, Spanish and Mediterranean accents. The dining rooms' fresh design accentuates the historic murals painted by Dean Cornwell, known as the "Dean of American Illustrators." Cornwell was commissioned by William Randolph Hearst in 1937 to paint murals for The Raleigh Room, then the original restaurant inside this apartment hotel. These murals are now completely restored.
The hotel's 7,000-square-foot function space was recently furbished, transforming the rooms, through special touches like hand-painted frescos and English chintz, from basic to extraordinary. With a spacious central pre-function area, and all conference and banquet rooms on the same floor, companies and social guests have privacy and the luxury of the choice of a cluster of rooms that perfectly suit their room requirements.

We were there to celebrate "Christmas". While there we were blessed with snow which added to the celebration. The Warwick ... is in a great location for walking to the theatre in one direction, to Central Park in the other direction, or shopping. Also, conveniently located to subways in both directions. I like a quiet, small hotel with charm and courtesy so this was perfect

We used the SuperShuttle van service from the airport to the hotel [...] We paid an additional $30 per person per way for a ride to the hotel and then from the hotel to the airport. This was a complete scam, it took longer to get o the hotel then it took to fly from Michigan to NYC!! Don't use the SuperShuttle, a cab costs $35 one way and it takes 20 minutes!!

weekend getaway anniversary
christie and greg dozal Dec 15, 2009
my husband and i celebrated our 5 yr anniversary in new york for the weekend. we crammed everything in 1 weekend. Aside from ... the air flight delays, overall we had a good time. The one the thing I would recommend to first time travelers, is don't take the taxi to get from point a to point b. you can actually get from the airport to the hotel within train and subway distance which only cost us $2.50 a trip whereas taxis would run you about $100 including tip. The carriage ride was not worth the $40 for 35 min around central park. As far as restaurant tips, we went to this irish pub on 54th st next to the warwick hotel where we stayed at. Excellent service, very "homey" reasonable prices just a great atmosphere. To sum things up, we had a great time considering the time that we had spent in new york.

Gator in NYC Dec 14, 2009
The staff did an outstanding job in all respects. Very efficient, friendly and helpful. Rudolph's is great but sometimes ... difficult to get into due to it's popularity. Location was perfect - easy walk to Broadway for The Jersey Boys and first class Restaurants (Bice for italian, Sparks for unbelievable steaks.) Easy walk to shopping, as well as Central Park, Rockefeller Center, Radio Center Music Hall and other tourist locations. Our first trip to NYC in quite some time, but will be back at least yearly.

Great Stay
Travel Hopper Dec 7, 2009
This is a very charming hotel located right in the thick of things in midtown Manhattan. We enjoyed our stay very much. We ... arrived around 11 am and were able to check in right away. The room was very nice and spacious enough for two people. The only negative was the location of our room, it was directly in front of the elevator. We were very aware of people using the elevator and it was loud a couple of times during our stay, especailly Sunday morning when luggage carts are being used. I would recomend the Warwick, just make sure to get a room located away from the elevator.

A very fine older hotel in a great location. Easy walk to Times Square, Central Park, Rockefellar Center, Grand Central ... Station and Broadway. Furniture somewhat worse for the wear, but we weren't in our hotel room that much. Linens clean and fresh. Restaurant was not open in the evenings, but food available from room service or in the bar. Many food options in the immediate area.

The staff was quite nice and the upgrade they gave us would have been perfect if the three windows didn't all look at brick ... walls. We had the option to go back to a smaller room with a view but opted for the extra space. This hotel provided value for the cost.

This hotel is a stone's throw to the MOMA, 30 Rock, 5th Ave shopping and an easy walk to the theater district, Central Park. ... The Thanksgiving Day Parade passed at the end of the block!! Staff is responsive and friendly without being obtrusive. The room was spotless and the hotel the quietest I have ever stayed in. Expect something a little old fashioned. Class without glitz, comfort without obvious waste.

Not what I expected for all the money we paid. WE were charged almost seven dollars for a water we did not use from the mini ... bar and it has been almost a week that the hotel has put a $200 pending charge on my credit card. The overall atmosphere of staff is very stuffy and if it were not for nice location I would not consider staying here again.

It was wonderfully located within walking distance to everything you'd want to see in mid-town Manhattan! Modern amenities with that "historic" hotel ambience.
