Hotel combining grandeur with an air of intimacy in midtown Manhattan
The Warwick Hotel in midtown Manhattan was built in 1926 and its European elegance and vintage charm provide a quiet oasis in the city. It is close to some of New York's best attractions including MoMA, Broadway and Central Park. The Warwick Hotel retains the grandeur of its past but its facilities are modern. There is a business center, fitness center, bar, and restaurant. 54 restaurant features stunning murals. Painted in 1937 by the American illustrator Dean Cromwell, they provide a visually stunning backdrop for diners. Elsewhere guests enjoy 24-hour room service in champagne and beige rooms evoking golden age of Hollywood glamour.

- Murals on 54, the hotel's refurbished dining room, features innovative continental cuisine with international influences, with a delectable menu consisting of mouth-watering fresh grilled dishes and a variety of fine seafood with strong French, Spanish and Mediterranean accents. The dining rooms' fresh design accentuates the historic murals painted by Dean Cornwell, known as the "Dean of American Illustrators." Cornwell was commissioned by William Randolph Hearst in 1937 to paint murals for The Raleigh Room, then the original restaurant inside this apartment hotel. These murals are now completely restored.

Best location in the city
I loved this hotel! The staff was very helpful and friendly, and the room was huge...especially by NY standards. The location couldn't have been better...very close to Central Park, great shopping, and the subway. My only (very minor) complaint was that our room was right next to the elevator and it was a bit noisy. I did not ask to change it, however, since we were only there at night and we were so tired from all of our adventures that it really didn't matter. I am sure that the staff would have been accomodating had I asked. I will definitely be staying there again!

great location
located near central park and close to theater district its a great place to spend a weekend. service was friendly and helpful but the rooms do not have great views and since its an older hotel carpets in the room show wear and tear. I would go back though and that's the best review

Loved the Hotel
My mother took me to the Met Opera for my birthday/college graduation and we had a great time. The hotel was decently quiet for New York. It was a great location a few blocks from times square, central park and Lincoln Center. I loved the cleanliness of the hotel as well as the atmosphere.

great NYC location--- but expensive
helpful staff---- who have worked there for decades! Great NYC location (54th Street and 6th Ave.); quiet rooms, nicely appointed, but a bit in need of redecorating; Internet nighltly price was applied to all three days of our stay----no package for multi-night stay; Internet price was NOT competitive: walk-ins were quoted the same rate!!

Great location for the price
Convenient location, surrounded by a variety of restaurants and coffee shops. Well insulated so traffic noise was not a problem despite central location. Across from MOMA.

Great location.......
Trip with daughter to celebrate her 30th birthday and see NY. The location was perfect for all the things we wanted to see and do. I would recommend to friends.

Good value
This was a business trip and it was recommended by a friend that I stay there. I would stay again and will as I am in NYC on a semi-regular basis. The stark brick wall outside my window was not the greatest feature, but that was my location. I am not used to NOT GETTING complimentary internet and found $12.00 per day was very expensive and unnecessary I think.

Warwick Hotel
The staff at check-in time was very helpful in fulfilling all my requests. The room was well-furnished and provided every amenity that I could have wished. The dining room is not open for dinner, which is a slight incovenience, but there are plenty of fine restaurants in the neighbourhood. The bar is an especially pleasant place to relax after a busy day in Manhattan. I have stayed here several times and have always been satisfied.

Classic charm
The hotel is historic and charming, the beds very comfortable. The rooms are not spacious, but big enough, the bathroom quite small but manageable. The room, on the fifth floor, looked out on an air shaft, so it was dark as midnight 24/7. I assume that folks who get a really good deal (I'd bet half the normal rate) are assigned less than desirable rooms -- an acceptable trade-off as far as I'm concerned. No robes -- that would have been a plus.
