Fun Holiday Weekend in NYC Times Square
Mom Dec 14, 2009
Great location. Times Square is up the block. Close to everything. Room was very clean and quiet. Felt very safe. The ... only negative was the view as we were only on the 10th floor so there was no view of Times Square etc., BUT we were only in the room to sleep, so it didn't matter anyway. Starbucks and a movie theatre are attached to the hotel. Very inexpensive places to get breakfast, lunch and/or dinner all around the hotel, so you don't have to eat there. My 16 year old daughter and I enjoyed our weekend excursion. I would stay there again.
Traveler type: Family
Check out the little local luncheonettes and bakeries for great prices and great food all around the Westin. There is no need to spend a lot in the hotel to eat.

Jr. and Iris Dec 1, 2009
Everything was good! Would have prefered a light free continental breakfast in the hotel because the restaurants nearby were ... always crowded in the morning and we waisted to much time. The items in the cooler were way to expensive, would have prefered to bring my own and even a small microwave would have come in handy.

Great area for plays and shows close to all artistic venues.

Great mother son trip
Sam Nov 10, 2009
This was the best trip. I took my ten year old son to see Wicked and a New York Giants football game. The hotel is very nice ... but a little dark. We did not have a lamp on the bedside table. The location was terrific and the staff was very helpful.

Excellent Hotel, Excellent Location
DCN Oct 26, 2009
Great location and very friendly, helpful staff. Hard to contact staff from the room with respect to concierge (calls not ... returned). Concierge staff at the desk was very helpful and informed. Room not appropriately stocked by room cleaning staff. After calling the front desk 3 times, a hair dryer was finally delivered and bathroom amenities were incomplete. None of this would deter me from staying here again, but these are just helpful comments for a hotel of this calibre.

We love to shop and new york city was just what we were hoping for. The hotel was in a great location, one block away from ... the main street in time square, but it was still close to all the action. The hotel room was very clean, big, and the beds were unbelievably comfortable.

Wonderful Location
Traveling Mama Oct 14, 2009
Loved the rooms, although the bathroom was rather tight. The heavenly bed was definitely heavenly. The hotel is in a great ... location off Times Square. Yet, it was quiet and not too busy. My only complaints are that the food and amenities such as the fitness center are way overpriced ($10 to workout and $30+ for breakfast for one). A bottle of water in the room cost $8.50. But this comes with the territory. Be prepared and pack some comfort items like bottled water and snacks for the stay. If nothing else there are many little shops and cafes in walking distance. I would definitely stay again.

We were promised a room somewhere between the 31st and 45th floor. When we arrived, we were notified that our room on the ... 11th floor was an "upgrade". The view of the parking deck next door was great. The computer did not work and the LCD TV did not work properly, if and when it did work at all. The location is great, but the accomadations are average at best.

Hotel exactly as pictures show, clean, quiet and excellent location to everything, nice cafe beside hotel, tour bus stops ... outside hotel and 1- block down, 5- blocks to uptown tour, 5-min walk in time square, 20-min walk MSG, we stayed last year at Michaelangelo 7th and 51st, very nice also but Westin is closer to the action and theaters, bed was very nice, and washroom very clean, we will be back to NY again next fall and Westin will be our first choice. If driving valet parking is available or yopu can park down the st in a lot, PS take valet not worth the hassel to park yourself, must visit Little Italy on saturday street is closed to traffic, very good food during daytime and always but raised rates at night, also SOHO, GREENWICH AND CHINATOWN, and MARY POPPINS IS THE BEST, BEATS WICKED AND CHICAGO BY A MILE.
Traveler type: Couples
when getting in a cab always try to get one on an AVENUE if going uptown or downtown, if on a sidestreet could be there awhile especially on the weekends traffic very bad, 1- block is only 100 yards so walking 10-20 blocks is normal and all in a days fun. BLACK CABS BEWARE 20US TO GET IN AND EXTRA IF GOING MORE THAN 20 BLOCKS, THEY PASS THEM OFF AS CHEAP LIMO'S NOT WORTH IT.

Take the subway! There's a stop right on the corner by the hotel, and also another one at 42nd @ 7th. Your feet will thank you if you get a Metro Card (if you're staying more than a couple days) and ride it everywhere you can.
