Affordable history and elegance!
Everything was to be expected except for one night at Harry's Bar. But one bad waitress did not ruin our experience. The Waldorf reversed the bar charges, and gave us two complimentary drinks. Right in the center of NYC, everywhere was walking distance.

Romantic weekend
Classic hotel. Takes you back to a bygone era of New York Hotels. The staff was tremendous and the hotel was quiet outside of our room. Don't recommend parking a car ($100 for 2 nights). Breakfast at the hotel was also $50 per person which was a surprise for us). The next day we went to a diner right by the hotel. The rooms were clean and a little outdated but we didn't mind. It is not a modern hotel. The lobby is amazing. We used the gym for free. Spa treatments were aobut $200 for a 50 minute treatment and you were not allowed to enter the spa even for a fee. You had to have a service booked. Overall a great experience. We would certainly return.

Perfect birthday getaway
Elegant! We ate at the Bull and Bear restaurant which was superb. We would go back there in a minute. I still don't know why the cost seemed so reasonable.

Wonderful stay in an historic, storied hotel!
It definitely lived up to its reputation...food and wine as good as you'll find anywhere in NYC...and a lovely room. The reason we stayed there was the very low nonrefundable rate probably due to the Park Ave facade being renovated....causing absolutely no inconvenience to us...and less than lower quality hotels at the time.

Great name, excellent staff, mediocre room.
The staff and service live up to the reputation the Waldorf Astoria has always had. Public areas were well appointed. Nice location. The room was average at best. Chipped paint, very poor heating/AC conditions, view of the roof just soured my impression.

Perfect Classic NYC
The Waldorf was perfect for our weekend trip. The staff were pleasant and attentive. The rooms are typical NYC- on the smaller side- but well done. We didn't mind the size as we don't come to NYC to stay in the room anyway. Blocks away from central park, broadway and shopping- but away from the crowds. Perfect location.

Great luxurious stay!
We had a great time in the suite in the Waldorf Towers. The room was humongous and the staff was really courteous. It felt like the lap of luxury!
