Great location near Time Square

Upon arrival the front desk staff was great. The room I had was very small. Needs better ironing board and more power outlets. Shower head wasn't the best either but it got hot quickly. Also, a full length mirror would be nice.

Great Location

It would be difficult to find a better price on a decent hotel in the Theater District. That said, you get what you pay for. Rooms are a bit smaller than comfortable (even for NYC), carpet is worn and coming up in places, and heaters and air units click and whine. On the plus side there is a readily available and very helpful staff, taxis waiting outside, a nice empty lounge on the second floor, a 20 discount for breakfast in the adjoining restaurant, and if you threw a rock from the front door you could hit two, maybe three big-name theaters with it. In short, great location with a comfort level on par with what you are paying.

Entertainment tip: In Hotel

If you plan on coming into town to see some broadway shows, want to be close by, but don't want to spend big money to stay in midtown, this might be your place. As of winter 2014/2015 the Time Hotel is one door down from Book of Mormon, directly across the street from Chicago, and about 1/2 a block from Broadway itself.

If you like the hustle/bustle of the theater district, yet tucked away in a secret enclave, clean and bright, The Time is perfect. Having "Serafina" downstairs w 20% off to hotel guests just a bonus as food quality excellent, and prices reasonable anyway, w 20%, it's a hard to come by "steal". Good value in the $200 range when I stayed.

Too high cost for value!

Staff was friendly. Room was clean but carpet worn, nicked walls and grout buildup in the shower....needs updating although modern feel. Room phone did not work, no coffee maker, small flatscreen on top of mini fridge?? Bright red headboard and comforter attempt to make room contemporary. Would not stay here again.

Great location, friendly staff

Good location in the heart of the theater district. When I stayed here a couple years ago the clientele seemed more mixed between business travelers and tourists. Perhaps because it was mid-July, I felt I was the only non-tourist in the hotel. My room was clean and quiet, but the ambiance was notably spartan, with not a single picture or fixture on the walls. Could have used standard hotel blackout shades, instead of the inexpensive plastic mini-blinds on the windows. Still, it met my needs for my trip.

Great Location!

The hotel is a cute boutique like hotel with a restaurant downstairs and a fun bar on the second floor. The staff is great! The rooms are nice, not perfect. Definitely could use remodeling in the bathroom but it does it's job. Very clean and presentable. It's not the 4 seasons but for the location and the price it's a good deal!
