Luxury Midtown boutique hotel cops a fun attitude
This June, The Roger is unveiling a sophisticated new look after extensive renovations of its public spaces and guest rooms.  Standing at the crossroads of uptown and downtown, the new Roger is a marriage of chic design and old world comfort, while continuing an unyielding commitment to superior service.  The fresh aesthetic of the Roger's new lobby lounge and restaurant is curated by hospitality guru Steven Kamali and designed by the notable Anna Busta.  To update the spacious guest rooms, The Roger tapped Annette Jaffe of MSM.  Roger's new look is characterized by lush custom pieces and applied moldings to naturally compliment the historic building's unique rooms.  Whether for only a night or a week's long stay, The Roger is the modern traveler's home away from home.

Simply the best!!!

The staff at Roger Williams is PHENOMENAL!!! Very friendly, professional and there is a smile on everyon's face. Outstanding!!! The rooms are sbsolutely beautiful and the entire place is clean. The only thing that I didn't like was there was no microwave or refrigerator in the rooms, but that is nothing major. I love this place!!!

Quick stop in New York

Location was great - close enough to all the New York action but far enough to get away from all the noise. The room was small but very upscale and really clean.

Comfortable, attractive w/great staff

I was in town for one night and wanted something clean and safe. I found the hotel to be if not luxurious, definitely first rate for clean, comfortable, safe, and nicely decorated. It was a totally pleasant experience. The staff was always friendly and helpful. I loved the location. Murray Hill is a very upbeat yet quiet neighborhood.

Time-saving tip: Not Applicable

There is a Starbucks right around the corner on Park Ave So. It is an easy cab ride from Penn Station where I came in and out by train. There are small pleasant restaurants around the neighborhood.

Good place to stay

The hotel has a modernist European feel to it. It's in a good location which is NOT midtown as i don't like staying with millions of other people. The bed is very comfortable and I spent a few bucks more for a corner room. However, next time I will ask for a higher floor.

Clean, modern & a great bargain in NYC!

I was there just for 1 night visiting friends. Great location, big room (by NYC standards), not too noisy, very modern. Great value and perfect for a night out in NYC.

Nice place for the $

Close to mid-town, downtown and Times Square/Penn station. Boutique styled hotel with very personable staff. Standard rooms are on the small side, but very clean and functional. THE BEDS ARE SUPER COMFY.

A Great Hotel in NY

This ws my second stay at Hotel Roger Williams. I had a lovely room with a comfy king size bed. Although the bathroom was on the small side it was fine for one person. The best things about this hotel are the wonderful location and the attentive staff. I'd stay there again!

perfect location

Friendly staff. Handy location in central New York. Close to Penn Station. Sad to see that every "amenity" in the room had a price tag attached.

Good location but had to change rooms

Really like the location, close to Columbia university and also Columbus Circle so you can do some grocery shopping for breakfast at Whole Foods and avoid paying $23 for a bagel with cheese and juice. The first room they gave me had small hair all over the bed sheets. When I complained they quickly replaced the room to a bigger one. But here some channels on the flat screen were not working and the wireless internet wouldn't connect. For this reason I grade it low. However, everything else was great...

Whole Foods on 60th and Broadway is great. No really -- check out the cooked food section. If you are staying for extend period of time only. If you are there for a few days then you probably don't want to go to a super market in New York.
