Best Ever Vacation!

Superb service began the moment we entered The Peninsula through the revolving doors on into the majestic foyer. Our bags were carried to the front desk, check in was effortless, everything was waiting for our arrival. The room was spectacular and much more than I could have hoped for. After a long walk through Times Square, and a mild case of, 'getting lost', we were warmly greeted back to our weekend home at the Peninsula with rose petals on the bed (in the shape of a heart), a tray of chocolate covered strawberries (my favorite fruit), and a bottle of champagne. The 5th avenue view was break taking. The serene roof top pool greeted me each morning while I sipped my coffee, looked out over central park and read the New Yorker. The only experience that was better than the room itself was the SPA...the steam room, dry sauna, massage...extraordinary! Oh, how I didn't want to leave and can't wait to go back. The Peninsula is definitely my only choice for our next and every stay in NYC. Thank you to the entire staff. Each and everyone was more than happy to assist us during our stay, this experience was phenomenal! Thank You, Thank You, Thank You!

I think we have found our favorite hotel! The room and the bathroom were way more than what we expected and the amenities are awesome.. The staff was very helpful and even remembered our names! We were close to pretty much everything in downtown Manhattan without being in the middle of the "hustle and bustle".

50th Birthday Celebration

Upon arrival (at 3am!) we were escorted to our room where we found a complimentary piece of birthday cake and a bottle of Veuve Cliquot. We didn't drink this the first night, but it was "re-chilled" the following day for us. We received more cake too! The location of the Peninsula is great. Extremely close to Central Park, short walk to Times Square and theatres, just round the corner from the MoMa and of course perfectly situated for shopping along 5th Avenue. The roof-top bar at the P has great views, but you can easily blow a load of money! cocktails are on average $20. Mini-bar in the room was well-stocked, but pricey.... Kashi-bar was $7, small can of nuts $11/12 (hint - if you have a drink in th gotham lounge you get complimentary cheese/olives/nuts) We didn't utilize the room service to it's full potential. However, a large pot of coffee for two $20 inc. tax (with 4 croissants ~$40) The TV armour was a little dated, but served it's purpose. TV itself was a little dissappointing in that the quality wasn't that good - not HD. Comforter/pillows etc were extremely nice, but the actual bed could have used a matress pad or a memory foam topper. Bathroom was nice, however there was a funky smell (similar to old cigarette smoke)... Taxi from the Peninsula to Newark was $80 inc. tip

A true 5 star experience

My wife and I took a trip to New York to celebrate my wife's birthday. This was the first time we stayed at The Peninsula New York. The hotel and staff were exceptional. I have stayed in hotels across the country for business and pleasure and this was my favorite hotel of all. The service from the entire staff including, but not limted to, the bell desk, bar tenders, restaurant staff, front desk, and doormen were attentive to serving. I have nothing negative to report for my wife's and my experiences were the best ever. The hotel is centrally located and walking distance to Central Park, Broadway theatres, Times Square, resataurants, and all the best shopping locations. I will clearly recommend this hotel to everyone I know who will be visiting New York City.
