The Muse is the best!

We enjoyed a treat. A king deluxe room that was actually fit for a King. It has a settee in front of the King Bed along with an outdoor terrace that was spacious. The amenities were excellent and they quickly delivered and ice bucket and four flutes to enjoy our bubbly.

One Of my FAVORITES

After some research, I decided to make reservations at this hotel for my boyfriends birthday. I wanted something romantic, classy, intimate but fun just for the two of us. The Muse definitely met all those expectations. I booked the Spa Suite which was a beautiful room with a jacuzzi. I cant rave about how gorgeous the room was ! It was perfect. I will definitely be coming back again and again and again. The massages were overpriced. We booked massages for 8 pm in our rooms, but had stepped out to grab something to eat which took us a little longer than we expected. We ended up returning to our rooms at 8pm were the masseuse's were waiting for us. They told us that because we were late our 50 min massage would be cut short. We were a little upset since they only massaged us for less than 30 min since they also took their time setting up the beds for us. For $400 after services and gratuity, it totally was NOT worth it. They could've threw in those extra 20min since we did pay for it. Besides the overly expensive (not that great ) massages everything was absolutely perfect.

Nightlife tip: In Hotel

The bar in the lobby has a wide range of alcoholic choices and the male bartender there in the evenings is absolutely the BEST! an amazing chamomile infused cocktail is his specialty; a must try!

Short business trip

The Muse was everything its website promised - great location, attentive staff, comfortable rooms. Coupled with being just off Times Square yet in my room (809) unbelievably it was completely noise free as my room backed onto buildings. This was incredible - I didn't hear one taxi hoot whilst in my room! I will definitely stay there again.

Would definitely stay again!

Great location, 3 minutes walk from centre of Time's Sq. If you join the loyalty scheme, you'll get free wifi plus $15 of the mini bar in your room. We exchanged our complementary wine tasting with two cocktails. They provide you with basics that you forgot, eg. hairspray, toothpaste, toothbrush, etc. There are no coffee or tea-makers in the room, but available upon request. Nice helpful staff. We couldn't find fault with the hotel or the staff. Get discount tickets at TKT booth under the steps in Time's Sq, Nice Scottish pub with good food a couple of doors away from the hotel, don't waist time and money on liberty island cruise, do it for free on staten island, definitely go to the 9.11 memorial, it's breath taking. Go on the Top of the Rock in day time and see the Empire State and views of the city. Get the subway to Brooklyn and walk back to Manhattan over Brooklyn Bridge, the view is much nicer this way.

Location location location

If you want to be in the thick of it with easy access to the subway The Muse is a great option. Only 1/2 block from the center of Times Square it's quick and easy to walk just about anywhere. With that being said it is also a bit noisy at night. I was surprised to be able to hear traffic and other noises through the window on the 11th floor. They charge for wi-fi but if you 'register' with their email promotions it's free for your stay plus you get $15 worth of in-room snacks - which otherwise you wouldn't touch at $8 for a few nuts or candies. Room service is also something we didn't consider at $30 for an omelet, toast and hashbrowns but there is a small store a few feet down with a variety of snacks and of course MANY restaurants to choose from elsewhere. The price is high but so are most hotels in the area and especially during the U.S. Open which we were in town for. Gotta love Duval :)

Kids in NYC after business trip.

My stay was fantastic. I messed up my reservation and forgot to add my wife and kids, so panicking I contacted the hotel and they assured me all was well. There was a street festival on 46th when we pulled up and they sent a bellman down the block to pick up my bags and family while I got the car parked...normally they have valet parking but the street fest nixed that. They had goodie bags for my kids, which they loved, and it kept them quiet and busy! The hotel was literally a half block off the center of Times Square but was super quiet at night. My kids loved riding the subway and the 47th street station was 1.5 blocks away so it was super handy, especially since the BD line could take us to Columbus Circle and Central Park's Heckshire Playground in about five minutes. Plus it was handy for all the sightseeing we did while we stayed. The staff was super helpful whenever we needed them, and were very delicate with the toys my kids sometimes left laying around the room. Hope I get the chance to stay at the Muse again.

Money-saving tip: Long walk from hotel

We spent a lot of time in Central Park. We found the Whole Foods (via the downstairs escalators) at the Times Center on Columbus Circle a great place to load up for a lunch in the park. We also would get breakfast treats and cold stuff for the next morning there. The room didn't have a fridge but since we were driving we had a small cooler to keep the cold stuff cold.
