- The Deluxe Double Double guestroom has an ultramodern interior, featuring an oversized tufted white leather bed draped in extravagant Belgian linens, a polished stainless steel desk and a Charles Eames-inspired black and white woven carpet. Lush red parachute nylon drapes block out the harsh light of day, and reveal the energy and excitement of the neighborhood when parted. All guestrooms are equipped with a 42 inch flat panel TV. In addition, the newly refurbished bathrooms will underscore the modern feel of the guestrooms with stainless steel tiles and a glamorous oversized backlit mirror. OSU Getaway
Visited NYC for a friends wedding. The location was spectacular! Just a short walk to Times Square and Central Park. Could not ask for a better, more accommodating staff. Everyone was attentive and friendly. No request was denied! Despite the construction across the street it was relatively quiet. If you are looking for a high rise view this is not the hotel for you. The hotel is extremely clean. Only thing we could find wrong with our room was the bathroom door was difficult to close. At times had difficulty with staying connected to Wi-Fi. Highly recommend for location, attentive staff and value.

Short walk to many fantastic locations to dine. Easy to find dining within several price ranges. Hotel staff excellent for recommending and giving directions.

Staff was excellent.
Everything was great about the this hotel with a couple of exceptions. The elevator was EXTREMELY slow and the room just would not get cool. However, the staff were not only friendly they were also very helpful and eager to please. A special thank you to Teddy, the afternoon front desk worker, he was especially great.

Great Spot
It was a very comfortable location for what we had in mind. Minites away from Central Park and great restaurants all around. The rooms where very sheek and clean. I do recomend this place.

Sister Sister NYC
Great Location, Swanky decor
The Moderne was great. I was in NY for a long weekend and couldn't have picked a better hotel for the price. The room was small but designed well so you don't feel cramped. They even had an iPad for loan which was great. The staff was great and very helpful. It is close enough to get to broadway shows but far enough that you are not in the middle of the craziness of Times Square. I would highly recommend The Moderne....

This hotel was perfect for a four day get away. The Moderne is right in the middle of everything and with tons of great places to eat in close by. I would definitely stay there again.

Slightly Disappointed
Fab hotel! Highly recommend! Not Disappointed!
Small hotel, so don't expect things you would get at larger hotels. Visualize a very modern but small efficiency apartment. The rooms are comfortable, but no window and/or nothing to see out of window. The staff was fantastic! Great attention to details and all expectations were met. Location of hotel is very nice. Walking distance to Times Square and Central Park. Would definitely stay again!

Great NYC boutique hotel!
Loved that they had a lounge with coffee/tea, water that they infused with different fruits (lemon, orange, cucumber), and fresh fruit available all day long! Very quiet. Decor was modern and tasteful, not over the top like I've heard others are.

Cool Place
This was an interesting place to stay. I've stayed in many hotels in NYC and this is one that I would go back to. The only problem I have with it was that there were no windows in my room...

Great Location, Location, Location
Very nice experience. Also very clean and the staff were all friendly and willing to help. The location was great in that walking either uptown or downtown was an option. Would definitely stay there again and also recommend to others!

Where it's at
The Moderne has quite a bit going for it: attentive, friendly staff, clean, comfortable and tastefully appointed rooms, a spectacular lounge, complimentary coffee, tea, fruit, coffee cake, etc. in the morning, free Wi-Fi, and so on. But without a doubt, as wonderful as all those things are, what is even better is it's location. Conveniently located in the heart of Midtown, The Moderne is the perfect starting point for any New York City adventure. Furthermore, it is completely surrounded by a host of first rate bars and restaurants. (The Carnegie Deli is right around the corner!) If you are planning a visit to NYC and can't decide where to stay, let me do it for you: Stay at The Moderne. You'll be oh so glad you did.
