Nice surprise
I thought the location was very good. More residential and quieter than staying in midtown or downtown. Close to the park, subway, shopping and dining. The room was comfortable and quiet. I would stay here again.

Sightseeing tip:
Long walk from hotel
I thought the Staten Island Ferry was an easy way to see views of Manhattan, as well as the Brooklyn Bridge, Ellis Island and the Statue of Liberty. It doesn't get you up close to the Statue but the views are still great. It's free and runs 24/7 every 30 minutes. Can't beat it.

Great stay in a Great area!
Located right near Central park on the Upper West side. Friendly staff and good sized clean rooms. Great value!

Perfect NYC getaway
Lovely, clean, great location. Staff was attentive. Room was average size, very clean, and recently renovated. Our trip was a getaway weekend for two middle-aged businesswomen and our teen-age daughters. Wonderful location, close to Central Park. Very safe, even late at night. Subway is around the corner. Restaurant next to hotel was good, but overpriced. Definitely would stay at the Lucerne again.

Great hotel, good value
This was the perfect place to stay on the upper west side. We were close to Central Park and the museums. The hotel was clean and comfortable, the staff was friendly and accomodating. I would definitely stay here again and recommend to friends.

Great location, good value, very nice.
In the city for a girls weekend. Hotel was nice, clean, helpful staff, great location and nice price! Super easy access to the subway! Just a few blocks off Central Park West.

Perfect Place for our Stay
When we arrived we were given an upgrade to a superior suite. Everything went well. Beds extremely comfortable, staff very helpful. Worked real well for us. Would recommend to friends, and plan to stay there again. Near many good Kosher resturants. Walking distance to good shopping. Easy cab ride to anywhere in the city.

Lovely hotel!
I will definitely stay here again! I was traveling with a friend and visiting my son at Columbia. Our room had 2 double beds. It was quite roomy with very nice accomodations. Great neighborhood very close to subway. It was an easy subway ride to Columbia University.

Excellent Room
Located in a safe, upscale neighborhood of NYC, it had wonderful restaurants and attractions just minutes from the entrance. Both of us agreed that the mattress was superbly comfortable and the pillows perfect. Beautifully appointed with wonderful fabrics, it couldn't have been a better stay.
