NYC Spring Break Trip

The Lucerne was a great choice for us...family of 3 on my son's spring break. 2 blocks from the History Museum and Central Park and a quick Subway ride to Times Square and South. Room was clean, comfortable and roomy. Would definitely consider staying here again whether with my son or on a romantic trip with my husband.

Reasonably priced Manhattan hotel

The Lucerne is well located on the upper west side; It's been renovated so it is clean and nicely appointed. It would have been nice to have an in-room coffee maker, albeit there was an umbrella and flashlight for ememrgencies. There was 15% off of breakfast at Nice Matin restaurant downstairs and the food was very nice. The standard room is very small but OK if it's just for sleeping rather than hanging out.

If you are willing to drive around the block a few times, on weekends you might find a spot on the street..and you don't have to move the car all weekend!

Great hotel in the Upper West Side

Very friendly staff. Older hotel but very well kept. Our room was extremely clean and kept. The only complaint really is that the room was a bit small - but probably about average for NY. Good location, close to most things. A subway ride away from everything.

Elegant small hotel

The staff was eager to help, from the entrance to sign-in to departure. The hallway and room looked newly decorated and very clean. Convenient breakfast next door with discount! We'd definitely stay again.

Intimate, Relaxing Experience

We've stayed here before. It's always great. Staff is attentive and polite. Rooms are large by NY standards. Located on the Upper West Side, it is removed from the a lot of the crowds in Manhattan, but an easy walk to Lincoln Center, Central Park, and the MUseum of Natural History, as well as a ten minute subway ride to the theatre district. Can't go wrong here!

Location, location, location

Two blocks from Central Park and a bunch of museums. Two separate subway lines within 2 blocks. Clean rooms, friendly staff, safe neighborhood, free wifi. Just a solid value. What's not to like?

Nice Upper West Side Location

Great location for upper west side. Close to subway, easy to get cabs, quiet neighborhood. The staff at The Lucerne was great from the doorman to the room maids. Nice little restaurant attached. While our view was lousy -- brick walls from all 3 windows, we were on the third floor & it was very quiet, no garbage trucks early in the morning or police sirens late at night. The staff did a great job of keeping things clean, but the carpet needed a good shampooing or replacing. It seemed expensive, but that's NYC.

beautiful hotel on upper west side

Beautiful hotel and location, we got corner rooms which were bright, airy and large. Nice mix of antique look and modern upgrades. Beds and pillows heavenly. Staff were friendly. The room and bathroom were immaculate.
