better than expected
From reading other Orbitz comments, I expected a very tired hotel at a great location and a decent price. I was pleasantly surprised to find a large, clean, and cheerful room with a great bed and bedding. The furniture is old-fashioned, but who cares, because everything else was great. Loved the coupon for continental breakfast in the beautiful dining room overlooking Central Park. My 23 year old daughter loved it.

Great Hotel
They gave us a wonderful service. The staff are very friendly. The room is very comfortable. It has the most beautiful view of the Central Park. We like the hotel very much.

The Lady needs a facelift
The Park Lane has a wonderful location but the rooms are dated and in need of renovation. The bath has tile pealing where it has been previously painted, dated paper and fixtures that work poorly. It gives one the feeling of not being very clean.

Great Location
Had a girls weekend. Great location, can get to anywhere from there. Central Park is across the street. Beautiful view from room of the park. Other reviews complained about bathroom. Theya re a little old fashioned, but clean. Rooms are a good size. Staff was very pleasant and helpful. I would stay again!

I'm not sure how I came to select
I'm not sure how I came to select this hotel - but what a find! Location, views, great room and service and breakfast included. The staff were so helpful and friendly and we loved being opposite the park and great access to 5th Ave etc. We'd stay there again in a heartbeat. Thanks HotelClub !

Elegant yet friendly
The hotel is right on the southern edge of Central park which is a perfect location for walking and sight-seeing. It is close to a subway and there were plenty of buses and taxis. The hotel staff was friendly. The bar and dining rooms were very expensive and there was no coffee maker in the room.

We always book a room with a view
We always book a room with a view of Central Park which affords a "million dollar view" for a few hundred dollars per night. This was our third year in a row booking the Helmsley Park Lane in New York. I think that speaks for itself.

Excellent location near between
Excellent location near between 5th and 6th Avenues with some rooms overlooking Central Park. Easy access to transport, museums and theaters. Lots of old New York charm and style. Clean and very comfortable rooms. Nice bar and restaurant with reasonable prices. Wish WiFi is included in the room price for hotel of this level and price range.

Nice hotel but rooms are bit dated
This hotel is in a great location right on Central Park. It was the least expensive we could find on short notice - we booked just 3 weeks before our trip. It was clean and the staff was very friendly. The rooms are a bit dated though but in good shape. It is definitely a hotel that caters to older clientele. The rooms have all the basic amenities except for in-room coffee/tea service and no late night room service.

Great Experience
Went with my wife for the weekend. We were able to check in early, very pleasant staff, great location, Awesome Central Park view... I will definitely stay in this hotel again.
