Pretty good stay
We had booked 2 rooms and asked for adjacent room for me and my son which they told me that the hotel was book solid and unable to accommodate us. I expected that the Empire Hotel to be traditional old hotel but was pleasantly surprised that it is quite modern. The staff are friendly and the apple was delicious. The room was big enough for my husband and me. The hotel was very closed to Central Park which we took advantage of to walk around. The location is a little far from Radio City Music Hall which is our reason for the trip - to see the Rockettes.

Nice hotel in a great location
I was in town to audition for Who Wants to be a Millionaire. The room was quite small but very functional. Fitness center was small but everything worked, a real unusual thing. Desk clerk gave a good recommendation for a sports bar to watch the games. Breakfast buffet very overpriced for the quality. Coffee was good but the food choices were sparse. Marriott Courtyard has a much better one. I didn't make the show. So it goes.

Emipire Hotel REview
Great location, wonderful service, great rooms. New rooftop bar that everyone in NYC seems to know about and want to go to. VERY small gym, but near central park if you want to go for a run.

Unbeatable location for the price!
We were so close to everything (including subway) we were able to walk everywhere we needed to go. Although the room was not overly large as previously mentioned in the reviews- for a couple, this room is perfect. Yes, the bathroom was kind of small, but we weren't in our hotel long enough to care. The bar has a great vibe and on the weekends, the Rooftop Lounge is where all of the hip, young New Yorkers go to be seen. Central Park, Starbucks galore, wine shop, great restaurants- sushi, pizza, brunch, Italian, French and Roman restaurants are all within just a few blocks of the hotel. The Lincoln Square mall is just around the corner if you need to shop at a few "higher- end" stores. Comparatively speaking- the hotel was better than we have experienced with other travel sites. The pictures were accurate- there was no bait and switch tactic. Our car service [...] picked us up on time- each time. Promptly took us to our hotel where the staff was waiting on us. We were given a room with a view without requesting and were treated very courteously. I would definitely stay here again.

The nicest, most helpful,caring staff
The hotel is absolutely beautiful, and just had EVERYTHING we could possible want or need! But what I will take away from this trip is that there really ARE nice people in New York. When we checked in, the person at the desk couldn't find our reservation. [...]He immediately had a manager,[...] check on this for us. [...] went over and above to locate AND correct the problem. He also upgraded our room for the inconvenience. Absolutely fantastic experience! Thank you!

Great hotel; Great location
We have opera tickets for both Saturday night & sunday morning so decided to stay in Manhattan for a night. Hotel is across the street from Lincoln Center. Lots of good restaurants in the area. Hotel is very clean; staff attentive; room was small but typical size for a NYC hotel room. Great lounge near the lobby.

Very Impressed
We spend 1 weekend every year in New York with friends. We have stayed at many different places around time square. The Empire Hotel worked out great. Very comtemporary and fun. We would stay there again. The service was better than other hotels we have stayed at in the same price range or more.
