The rooms are quiet, comfortable, and stylish-- and a good size for New York City hotels. The beds were excellent-- very firm with great linens. The hotel is across the street from Lincoln Center and its subway station stop. Staff was friendly and
courteous throughout the stay. For the price, it's a great value for NYC. I've stayed in comparably priced hotels in the city that were half the size, noisy, and/or less conveniently located. Definitely would recommend and stay again.
Perfect location for Lincoln Center. Basic room with one bed was diminutive even for NYC. Quiet, laptop-sized safe, some luxury touches, but no fridge or bathtub. Good desk services, room service, 24-hr cardio room. Fine for a night or two if
you're spry and pack light.
Staff were welcoming.
Cool , dark, exotic decor.
Really comfy beds and exceptionally quiet.
Food places on either side - convenient ( and good food! )
Would definitely go back and recommend.
note: Short people beware: the
hangers, towels and tissues were unreachable. I believe it was designed by a giant!!! But it was fun trying......
My first impression was absolutely a good one. The location was ideal, close but not too close to all the action. The restaurant was a little pricey but worth every penny. I would actually look forward to dinner every night. The cold Seafood
platter was out of this world. I would definitely recommend The Empire Hotel to my friends.
Location couldn't be better, with helpful staff and comfortable room. Though the added touch of wine and bottled water stocked in the room for sale was a nice touch, the price was stunning ( figi water, small, $7). But because of the location,
anything desired was around a corner. Good memories from this stay.
The Empire Hotel was great. Bars and restaurants in the hotel were outstanding. The only thing is that the shower would drain and it was a walk out shower so it flooded my bathroom and part of my room.
The Empire has been renovated, but the room was small and the bathroom tiny, but adequate. Comfortable bed and blackout drapery helped to ensure a good night's sleep. The location is perfect if you're attending a Lincoln Center event, as it's just
across the way on 63rd and Broadway.
Hotel features (5 = best, 1 = worst):
Short walk from hotel
Perfect hotel for Lincoln Center event. Also close to great shops and restaurants at Time Warner Center on Columbus Circle, and about a mile from the American Museum of Natural History.
