NYC First-timer
swanky digs
This was everything we expected - in a very good way! It was so hip and contemporary. Our room was a park view and that was really nice. There was bench seating underneath both giant windows where you could just sit and watch the activity at the park or read the articles in the uber-cool magazines they leave in the rooms. The room was spotless. The staff was friendly and very attentive. I actually expected them to be a little rude and judgmental because I'm NOT a celebrity even though I stayed in a fancy room where celebrities have stayed. They were amazing, though! Really the only thing negative I would say is that I expected a few more things to be complementary given the price of the room, or at least more reasonably priced, such as the non-alcoholic beverages in the refrigerator. I also do not recommend anyone traveling with youngsters stay here. Overall, it was an amazing experience at the hotel to add to an amazing first visit to NYC.

Dining tip:
Short walk from hotel
The hotel is relatively close to Times Square, which is great for the tourist. Many tourists try to dine in Times Square but it's mainly boring chains that are very pricey. A little further west along 9th avenue there are a ton more restaurants and cafes that are well worth the little extra hike. I believe it's between 42nd and 50th where all of the dining options are. The hotel is on 5th & 42nd.

Very Pleasant experience
On a very hot June day we found a cool place to stay. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The location across from Bryant Park was very convenient for us. The room was very accommodating; the bathroom was large and very clean with an excellent shower and thick towels. The Koi restaurant was very good.

Great Stay
Great overall stay, only complaint was horrible lighting. The location could not get any better-walking distance to Times Square, Broadway, Empire State Building and more! I would definitely stay here again...but bad lighting will always be in the bank of mind when choosing my next stay.

Great location, beautiful hotel,
We were in New York for the weekend. Previously, we've stayed midtown, but my daughter enthusiastically recommended the Bryant Park. The location is wonderful and we walked all over Manhattan from there. I highly recommend this hotel.

Weekend in Midtown
My wife and stayed at the Bryant to celebrate her birthday. The hotel is very convenient to everything in Midtown, several subway stops near by, etc. The staff was very nice and friendly, and our room was great. The pictures on [...] are very indicative of what you get. Particularly nice were the fabulous bathroom (stand-up, marble-tiled shower and a full tub) and large, comfortable bed. There is a Bose radio and iPod dock, as well. Our room didn't overlook the park (8th floor) and we both found it to be incredibly quiet for a Manhattan -- or really any -- hotel. No hallroom noise, etc. We really enjoyed the stay and will definitely go back the next time we're in NY. There is also a hipster bar in the basement that turns into a club on Sat. nights, and they had a happy hour Friday with free well drinks. Japanese restaurant with lounge on the first floor of the building as well, which was good for drinks/meeting up with people.
