2 nights in NY
Hotel has very convenient location, just couple steps from Central Park in Manhattan and subway station. Very reasonable price. That's nice. It's unusual for us not to have opened doors and own keys. It's more like small apartments/rooms for rent then a hotel. Every time you reach hotel you need to call check in to open main entry door.. it was very hot in a room (late march). Once you try to switch on A/C to make air cooler it becomes very noisy from A/C itself and additional noise from Central Heating water system that's annoing during night time. Bathroom was also inconvenient.. Room 3A didn't have even hooks to hang up clothes.

west side walkup
Manhattan hotels are expensive, and it's fun to be in a neighborhood without tourists. But: this a 5 floor walk up; access always required fuss; it had no internet that I could find; twice the staff tried to barge in during the day; on the other hand, in 6 days the room was never cleaned. And of course the hotel has none of the normal facilities staff provide, or even a neighborhood map. It is actually expensive for what you get.

Travelling as Two
Small, But Good
The hotel was just fine. It was handy to have a kitchen, but we didn't use it much. No microwave, though. Honestly, the apartment was small, but what else can you expect in NYC? Although it actually wasn't bad since we spent most of our time out and about, anyway. Who goes to NYC to sit in a hotel room? The neighborhood was BEAUTIFUL and Central Park was literally across the street!!! There was even a subway station about 2 blocks away. The room was just big enough for 2 people, so I wouldn't recommend staying in this size room with more than that, but it was clean and in an excellent location. I would definitely stay here again!

While cabs are easy to catch as Central Park West is right down the street, I would recommend getting a reloadable metro card and taking the subway as your main form of travel. The station is only 2 blocks from the apartment and that neighborhood is safe at night.

decent, plain accomadations
the appartment was a 1 bedroom, on the top floor & had no elevator. Not allowed to check in. no info given on when to check in or out until arrival. NO place to leave luggage for early arrival time. Clean, utilitarian and very minimalist. met the needs of place to stay: kitchen, bathroom & bedroom. but if new to NYC no help in suggestions of where to go or what to see.

worst hotel ever
This hotel was the worst I have ever seen. It's an old apartment building that needs some serious updating. If your like climbing stairs, this is the place for you. We checked in through an intercom system as there is no front desk. There is no key to the front door so you buzz them when you want to come back into building. The room was very small and the a/c didn't work. I had booked a specific room but it was not the given. I was then told that the girl that inputed the reservation did it wrong and was fired the week prior to my arrival. Their solution was to relocate me to their sister hotel, THE TEMPO (aka- Woogoo Central Park) and that still didn't fulfill my reservation. The room at the Woogoo was just as bad, if not worse. I wouldn't recomment either of these locations to my worst enemy. I am just hoping I have not caught some fatal disease from staying at this hotel. The room I got was definitely NOT what I paid for and the picture of the room on the site is definitely NOT what your going to get. Best thing to do is to stick to name-brand hotels you are familiar with. At least with them, you know they are professional and the rooms will be clean.

Stay Away! Warning to All
This was the worst staying experience I have ever had. [...]. It is an apartment with no service whatsoever. There was no check-in and I had to threaten to call the police for them to 'let me in virtually'. The phone staff were not friendly, spoke English badly, and the bed was like a torture rack.
