This is not a 4 star hotel
I travel a lot and I was surprised to see this hotel rated 4 stars on this and other websites. I figured they must have gone through a big remodel. Also the location was excellent for my business needs. Well, the location is all it really has going for it. It is abosolutely not a 4 star hotel - it is a 3 star, with many 2 star elements. Yes, they have a concierge and a restaurant but besides that the hotel is pretty rough around the edges. There are splotches on the walls, paint is peeling and the carpet is cheap. There was garbage in the elevators. The first room they put me was tiny, dingy and had an air conditioner that sounded like a jet engine. When I complained, they seemed surprised and moved me to a better room, but it was 3 star at best. It was small and no minibar for even a bottle of water. The bathroom was the size of a closet with dim flourescent lighting. I seldom got hot water from the sink. If you want 2-3 star accomodations in a great part of Manhattan, this is the hotel for you.

3 Star at Best - Overpriced
The Hotel Lobby looked impressive, however the room was pretty average when you consider that it cost over $400. Location was excellent, however there are many hotels in the area that provide the same for at least a $100 less in cost. I paid slightly more because I was expecting more, but was disappointed with what I got. No free internet, however the coofee shop below provides free internet if you are happy to go down there.

NYC one nighter
The hotel was clean spacious and comfortable. Really close to central park. NYC was very hot and humid. I'd suggest going in October. The leaves changing and weather is the best

Perfect location!
Perfect location: 10 blocks from Times Square, a few blocks from Central Park, and all the convenient shops and restaurants within walking distance. The staff was great and so were the room accomodations. I just wish that they would offer free internet access.

Perfect location
Perfect location: 10 blocks from Times Square, only a few blocks from Central Park, and all the favorite stores within walking distance. Friendly and helpful staff, the room was very clean and accomodating, I only wish that they'd offer free wireless internet. I'll definately return to this hotel for all of my NY trips!

The Mosi
Great vacation
This was my first trip to NY. I selected the Park Central hotel for its location. I could see Central park from my window and it was just a short walk to Broadway and time square. We had a problem w/ our air conditioning which was promptly fixed. The front desk had also set a side a different room for us in case the AC could not be fixed. The only thing I missed was a fridge; they are avail on first come basis, but once the AC was fixed we kept our water there and it kept them reasonably cool.

The Premier cafe deli is on the corner next to the Carnegie deli across the street from the hotel. They had the best french toast, sandwiches and desserts...even better than the Carnegie and easier to get in.

Good Location/ Good Price
Overall experience was very good. Location was great... just south of Central Park. Staff was very friendly, helpful, & accomodating. Housekeeping was OK. No free wifi ($14/day) but free wifi nextdoor at Starbucks. Would stay there again.
