3 days stop over in Newyork

Ellen, the staff at the front desk who checked me in when I came, remembered my name after 3days. I felt this was outstanding, considering the number of guests that where coming in and going out.

Clean and Nice location

This hotel has a clean room and no problem with service. Most of all, it is located in the mid town of the city which is good to travel any side of NY. But the room was obviously small

Clean, as advertised

I paid $98 for the room. I wasn't expecting the Four Seasons. But this isn't a 4 star hotel...3 at best. I complained about the wireless fee, they waived it. I was supposed to get a King, got a double 3rd floor. On the good side the room was clean, simple, comfortable AND the windows pen so if it is unbearably hot you can open window, which i did. Right off 7th Ave, easy to get Taxi

OK place to stay

It was good enough for what it is, I did not stay long enough to assess the full experience or amenities. Although I mislead to believe WiFi was included but it was an extra $25 for 2 days.

Perfect location for the NYC sites!

This hotel gives you a 5 star feel for a much lower price! The staff is friendly, and very helpful in hailing taxis, and checking in and out. However, the concierge confused us a bit more. And there was a time share annoyance in the lobby we had to contend with.. And the room (6th floor) although was perfect in every other way, had an incredible amount of street noise all night long (people yelling angrily) In spite of some of these negative experiences, I still love this hotel. It was so close to central park, i could walk and enjoy for the day and close to our Gray Line stop. Nobody's perfect and this hotel achieves an air of class for a very reasonable rate. I will stay here the next time! Also close to Times Square/ and I will recommend to my friends.

Location, Location

Was in town with my 18yo son for his first visit to NYC. In this regard, this was the perfect hotel. We would step out the side door of the hotel and go thirty feet to the subway entrance. The hotel is smack in the middle of where you want to be. The lobby is upgraded, hip and swank. The rooms don't follow suit. Dated and worn, but clean and perfectly fine for our visit. The low price was warranted. If we had paid more, I would have been disappointed. To those of you dependent on a blow dryer, the one in the room is from the 70's. Bring your own. The beds are comfortable enough. Longer than 4 nights and I would have had discomfort. But it's a good value, all in all.

Carnegie Deli - still the best. Chat Noir in the Upper West Side and La Lanterna in the Village are wonderful little hole in the wall cafes that amaze. ABC Kithchen was the highlight of the trip; spectacular food, exceptional service, zero snob factor. Hamlet Vintage Clothing in the village was the best in show for shopping.

The room

Very quiet and satisfactory. The location couldn't have been better. The price was right . They charged me $100. to offset any additional expenses I might have at the end of the trip. All I had was a $1.?? phone call which they credited. I have a receipt for that but forgot to ask for a credit of the rest of the $100. I hope it shows up on my bill.
