Style and full-service amenities, half a block from Times Square
A complete renovation in 2009 remade the hotel rooms and public spaces. The stylish lobby has an eclectic mix of furniture and a dramatic chandelier and staircase. Rooms have a minimalist décor in tones of white, gray, black or red. Two bars, a restaurant and Dean and Deluca shop, plus fitness and business centers provide plenty of conveniences. The location puts guests in the heart of it all. The hotel is half a block from Times Square and an easy walk to Rockefeller Center, Fifth Avenue and more Midtown attractions.Highlights
- Stylish, contemporary rooms and a dramatic lobby
- On-site Dean and Deluca gourmet shop
- Half a block from Times Square
Rooms

Location great but tiny
The location is perfect for the price, next door to Marriott Marquis which is much more expensive. But the room was so small that if you had regular sized luggage, you wouldnt be able to fit it in the room or open it! Way too small for 2 people which i had a reserviation for. The bed was a double not queen, very tiny. The staff and luggage storage room staff were pleasant! Conveneint location and luggage storage but room way too small.

Wow!...location was phenomenal! If that is what I paid for - Fantastic. If I am commenting on hotel - Never again! The original room is comparable to a roomimg house + a bathroom ! 2 people DO NOT fit in the original room !!! We got moved 2 times after that and it was only acceptable. 4 *?...definitely not. Then again, to be fair, what is the * rating in New York? Is it comparable to Europe hotel ratings?

tiny room
The location was great!!! However, for two people, the room was very tiny. We didn't have any room to unpack so we lived out of our suitcases for 4 days. Also the view of a brick wall wasn't that great either. I would probably stay there again, just in a bigger room with a better view.

Good Stay
The hotel was nice and clean, but always dark. Not enough lights in the lobby or hallways. Staff very friendly, and room was alway clean. Room was small but comfortable. Great location to be near and around time square. Enjoyed the entire stay at the hotel. Recommend putting clocks in the rooms.

I stayed one night and had no problems. The little room with the twin bed was perfect. Everything was clean. The TV was a pain but then again who is Times Square NYC to watch TV.

Highly Recommend
As a Long Islander who lived in the city for ten years and needed a convenient place to stay overnight, I can honestly say that I was pleased with the amenities offered by The Paramount. Accommodations were comfortable, clean, and reasonably priced. The lobby was chic with a quirky decor and computer availability. Great location in the midst of The Apple's action!

Horrible customer service.
I've been to New York on six different occasion in the last two years and this hotel is been by far one of the most unpleasant experiences. Staff is careless and dull and they're systems are inefficient took them 20min to find my reservation. They had a free upgrade advertised which I did not get but, the guy that walked up to the counter while my reservation was being looked up did get and upgrade but he had no reservation and had just arrived from the airport. They were not friendly nor apologetic about their lack of interest. An incredible disappointment. I do not recommend at all. Spend the extra money and get a room at the Marriott Marquis up the street.

Nice Room
Very ordinary room and a bit small but very clean. It is a great deal considering the location is a half a block from time square. Really a small trade off so overall a great deal for the money.
