New york trip.
We were disappointed with the stay. There was construction going on both inside, and outside of the hotel. They are currently renovating the hotel, and there was a lot of noise during our stay. Had we know of this, we would have chosen to stay else-where. Was not a restful situation. In the future, you should be aware of, and inform your clients of Hotel, Motel construction.

Decent Boutique
The hotel is decent and very well-priced for its location. The lounge area is nice and a piano is included for free play. There is a business center with free wifi and printing, also. The rooms are a bit small; kind of reminds you of a souped-up dorm room.

First time visit to NYC
The most important thing to me was that the room was clean! It wasn't fancy, but the beds and bathroom were kept quite clean. Small room, but there was enough. Wasn't lacking. Helpful front desk people, always someone at the door to open it for you. Close to subway station-convenient! Wireless internet in the lobby and they had computers in the "business center" to use-as well as printer. Good value-nothing fancy but is decent. would stay again.

Use the subway-so convenient and cost effective. Find an application for your iphone that helps navigate the subway maps and it's even better!

PERFECT!
On the Ave was JUST what we were looking for. I went with my best friend for her birthday. Right from the start the staff were friendly and welcoming. The lobby was scented with warm and cozy candles and it felt like home! The room was perfect size for the two of us and a moderate sized bathroom. What we loved the most was the rooftop terrace sitting area, beautiful views. We took a bottle of champagne up and lounged on comfy furniture watching the beautiful NYC lights! I loved every moment at On the Ave, would recommend to anyone that wants to stay in a nice, clean, safe area with plenty of staff to help and give suggestions. The diner across the street was delish too!

There is a restaurant Citrus two blocks away, within walking distance. FAB latin food with sushi! Sounds like a weird combo..but honestly the best sushi I have had in a while!! Margaritas were to die for! Also for breakfast, the diner across from the hotel was great and the Fairway market across the street would have any snack/nosh you were looking for!!!

Not a 4 Star hotel but offers a lot
We went to New York to welcome 2010 by going to a few shows. The location of the hotel was perfect. Easy access by foot or subway to any of the theaters, restaurants, and some great food markets. Our room was very small and our windows faced a wall but it was very clean. The bed was very comfortable and the linens were of high quality. We could have used more closet space to hang our clothes. This type of room would not work for a stay longer than a couple of days. The bathroom was nice and clean. When we arrived, we had to request the adequate number of towels needed for 2 people as well as an extra roll of toilet tissue. The bath towels were thick and very big which was very pleasant except that we had nowhere to hang them once wet. Another bad surprise was that the only ice machine in the hotel was broken. The hotel staff was very prompt in bringing us any missing items as well as ice. The bottom line is that this hotel needs to set-up their bathrooms so towels can be hang as well as making sure that the rooms are fully equipped with all the expected amenities. In spite of the few thinks that need t improvement, I will return for another stay to give the place another chance.

On the Ave Great Location
The rooms were small but bathroom upgrades compensated, plus the bed sheets fabulous, like sleeping on a cloud. Rooms were quiet, and the neighborhood interesting and safe for nightly explorations. Views for all means all can go to the 16th floor balcony.
