ok stay
It was clean, and renovated. However, the "new look" is pretty sterile and the glass wall into the shower a little bizare.

Novotel - 2.12.10
This is a great hotel in a great locations. The staff at check in was very friendly & helpful. The only complaint was that we could not seem to get the room to a comfortable temperature and when the fan kicked on it was quite loud.

Very Nice!
This hotel definately exceeded what I expected. It was clean, we had a great view from our window. Perfect location, Central Park is just a few blocks in one direction and Times Square a few blocks in the other. It was very comfortable and clean. We will absolutely stay here again.

Good hotel
good overall hotel, excellent location Room was a bit small and didn't look updated, a bit old, but was clean and confortable bed after a long working day. Staff was very accomodating, they let me check in early and gave me a late checkout, nice people. Would stay again.

Good Location, Good Price
Good location for Times Square, easy access to subway for more lengthy trips. Centralized so you can go back to the room for a quick break before more sightseeing. If you are going to NYC for a vacation, and are only using the hotel to sleep, Novotel serves the purpose. The only issue I had is getting into the hotel. You enter off the street into a small baggage check room. From there you take an elevator to the lobby. Once in the lobby you have to walk across the lobby to another elevator to get to your room. Not a huge deal, but not the most convenient. No newspaper or breakfast comes with the room either. Again, not a huge deal, but something I missed compared to other hotels.

Heater worked too well
Heater would not turn off at night, it got up to 90 degrees one night. On the 3rd day of our trip they finally moved us to a room with a heater that would shut off when it was supposed to. It took 3 days of them promising to fix it and then us finding out at 2am that they had not done what they promised. The rooms were fine but by no means a 4 star hotel. A solid 3 star is more like it. Nothing special though.

The subway is one block away and you can get anywhere in the city with a metro pass. The NYC subway is very easy to figure out.

Super hotel in excellent local
The staff was friendly and professional; the conceirge was knowledgable and very nice. The lobby and reception area are charming, good elevator service. Clean and always quiet. I will stay there again.

Just get out and try the various offerings; we enjoyed breakfasts at the many locals there and found excellent sandwiches and salads all over at very affordable prices. DON'T BOTHER W TAVERN ON THE GREEN.
