We had a problem with the free breakfast, that was added to our room rate, it took them over 20 minutes of waiting to figure ... out that we had it. That was not good.Last time i stayed there they gave me a coupon book. I asked about it, and they were like, no. I got the impression nothing is for free anymore.I hope i don't get charged, for breakfast.

We visited NYC for our 30th Wedding Anniversary. We had a great room overlooking Times Square on the 42nd floor. It was an ... awesome view. The room had a nice love seat, and chair, along with a large flat screen TV. The Concierge was helpful in giving us ideas of where to eat. The restaurant on the 8th floor was outstanding. The elevatators were very cool. We had our Anniversary dinner at the View- the restaurant on the top floor that revolves- amazing views of the city at night. The food was good, not great, but the view was so amazing it was worth it.

My husband and I were in NY for a vacation. The NY Marriott Marquis far exceeded our greatest expectations. The staff could ... not have been more helpful and friendly, our room was perfect, and we overlooked Time Square. The restaurant on top was a very special experience with a salad bar second to none. If we have the privlege to return to NY, we WILL stay at the NY Marriott Marquis!

60th birthday family trip
Rob Sep 22, 2009
We took our mother to NYC for her 60th birthday and wanted to stay in Times Square. We settled in on the Marriott for it's ... prime location and by recommendation. We all had an amazing time and liked this hotel very much. The rooms are of good size for a NY hotel and it was very clean and nicely decorated. The elevator systems were strange at first but we got used to it quickly. The staff members were accomodating. We didn't use the hotel facilities nor restaurants because there was too much to do out in the city and all packed in a long weekend! Carnegie Deli was within walking distance. I myself, like a smaller scale, more intimate feeling hotel but the Marriott was perfect for our needs especially if you are more than two people in a room. We would definately return.

Obviously one of the best hotels in the world....But they need a refund on their elevators which were good when they worked, ... but very challenging when they did not...They worked about 80% of the time...Not very reassuring when you are on the 32nd floor

My first nightlife suggestion would be going to "Havana", they have live music, great service, good food, and fabulous mohitos! you cant go wrong here... Second, I would recommend, "Iguana", a bar/lounge down the street from the Marriott, they play great music and are open untill late... Fun times.

Go to TKTS booth in Times Square to get last minute Broadway show tickets for a reduced price. Tickets are for the same night but it seems there isn't a bad seat in the house!! Go to Rockefeller Center and see the Today show!!! You'll get great pics and if you come early enough you can get on TV.
