The New York Marriott Marquis is the perfect home base to soak in the excitement of Times Square. The hotel is centrally located and is in close proximity to many theaters, shopping and dining. Busy midtown hotel
A bustling hotel on Times Square; reception disconcertingly on the 8th floor. Room large, clean and very comfortable with a great view. Concierge excellent, whether providing local advice or being extremely helpful sorting out a flight reservation problem. My only gripe would be that wi-fi access in room should be included in the basic room cost

If you want to see the New York skyline from the revolving restaurant at the top of the building, it is much cheaper to sit in the lounge with drinks and bar food than to dine in the (over-expensive) restaurant

Perfect Birthday Getaway
My Mother and I spent three wonderful days in NYC and the Marriott Marquis. It was very enjoyable and we felt special! From the minute we walked in the door we were treated like queens! The location was excellent and the room was relaxing, clean and quiet! The extra detail to our stay to celebrate my Mothers 80th brthday, came from Juan in Security who found out the reason for our trip and sent my Mother a gift box of treats as a surprise! It made our trip even more special! Thank you for a wonderful time in NYC!

Broadway Shows
The check in was easy. The room was excellent. The restaurant was a bit expensive, but the food was very good. The hotel was very convenient to the theatres. The elevator service is outstanding.

Enjoyed NYC

New Year's Eve
Very big hotel with lots of people at this time of year! Service at bar on 8th floor was very slow. Rooms were spacious and comfortable - sheets were soooo soft! Enjoyed the coffee maker in the room. We had the buffet on the 48th floor revolving restaurant/lobby and highly recommend it for a great view of the city! Reception, concierge, and restaurant waiters were pleasant and helpful. If you don't like huge hotels with many elevators and lots of people, don't come here. Otherwise, I would highly recommend it for the location and comfort.

NYC Family Getaway
The staff was very accessible and helpful. The location was fantastic as it is right in the middle of Times Square. The room was a good size for the four of us and considering it was NY the room was a comfortable living space. Not a lot of extras. The eighth floor restaurants had okay service and the food was delicious.

Be prepared to do a lot of walking. And be prepared to wait 30 -45 minutes for a table at most restaurants.

Christmas in NYC --- WOW!

Great Anniversary Getaway
Everything about the Marriott Marquis is perfect! We stayed there three years ago and weren't so happy, but they have fixed those prior problems and this trip was wonderful. They were VERY busy over the weekend, what with the Heisman Presentation and Christmas, but were able to handle the crowds quite well. Rooms and Restaurants are VERY nice!

"Juniors" across the street has a great breakfast for about 1/2 the price, just much busier and do not have the ambiance.

Poor Value--High Cost
Great location on Times Square. Amenities and service were on a par with the average mid-range facilities I have experienced elsewhere. Reserved king bed but got a queen; hair dryer inoperable; wi-fi was marginal. There are much better alternatives nearby.
