Mother's Day Trip May 2012
Had a great stay. Room was comfortable and staff was very helpful. Great location. Times Square was right outside our door. The only thing I would change is wish they had free wireless internet in the rooms and a bigger bathroom and separate tub for the cost.

Dining tip:
Short walk from hotel
Eat at Juniors restaurant if you get a chance. Great food and great value. Gets a bit crowded, but you get seated and served pretty quickly. Well worth the wait. Staff is friendly and attentive. Another tip to save money on meals, stay away from the themed restaurants or many of the ones in Time Square. Very expensive.

Great spot for a weekend trip!
Just enjoyed a Mother's Day Weekend trip and the location could not have been any better! In the heart of Times Square, you can get anywhere from here with relative ease (subway, taxi, walking). Highly recommend despite the higher price. Worth the money to be close to the action!

Good Small Trip
The hotel was good. Solid room with good view of Broadway District. Clean and updated. In room safe was good to have too. Hotel is so close to many interesting sites and restaurants so saved money by not having to take so many cabs. Always helpful staff nearby to ask questions. Bell Men were very helpful too. Overall, good hotel for the price.

Very Nice Hotel in the heart of Times Square.
We had a good experience at this hotel, but it is hard to talk to staff with check in and other services on the 8th floor. Strange. But the hotel was clean while being very, very busy and the rooms were quiet.

Location, Location, Location
If you're visiting New York for the first time, the ONLY place to stay is the Marriott Marquis. It's location is right in the heart of Time Square where Theatre, Shopping and Great Restaurants are a few steps away. If you want to get on one of those open top bus tours, they pick up just outside the hotel. The 42nd street subway station is three blocks away and from there you can go anywhere in the City. My only complaint was that at busy times, the elevator area can be a madhouse. We'd often jump on one going to a higher floor only to get out and walk down.

Don't rely on going to the TKTS office for the discount tickets. You don't want to spend your vacation lining up for discounted tickets to generally not great seats and usually will have to split up your group. If you are a couple on a limited budget, it may be the way to go.

Sisters birthday celebration
Check in staff was great, upgraded our room and sent a bottle of champagne and snacks to our room! Really made our stay special, we had come from all over the US to celebrate a milestone birthday. Terrific location, only complaint was took awhile to get an elevator - its a very big hotel.
