best trip
I went to NYC to see a friend and have a vacation. The hotel provided me with the best location to see all of the sights and sounds of the true city. Even my friend enjoyed the hotel. The staff are very curteous and helpful. I would love to return to the same hotel on every trip into the city.

There are tons of dining and shopping all around the hotel. The hotel is right within the city. Perfect!

The staff was friendly and helpful from [...] checking us in and considering our family side for the room selected and its location, to the friendly and helpful doorman and staff that gave us toothbrushes, a cot and extra blankets all free upon request and in a timely manner. The room and hotel in general was great! It was a wonderful stay and I would recommend this facility to anyone.

A great stay

Excellent Location
I took my daughter to New York for her 20th birthday, her second visit, my first. I was a little nervous about doing this alone but once we got to the hotel, I felt so comfortable. It was beautiful, our room was very clean and the staff was very helpful and friendly. But best of all the location was great. we walked to Times Square at night without feeling nervous,Grand central Station was only a few blocks away so the subway worked great for our sightseeing. The hotel is located in a very safe area convenient to many things.

We loved the subway. Sometimes it was just as easy or quick to walk to our destination but most everything a little further out such as Chinatown, The Brooklyn Bridge, a favorite restaurant on fifth, we just hopped on the nearest subway and with a transfer or two we made it there quickly and with fun. I was intimidated at first but we bought a pass and decided to give it a try. So glad we did. We got to do so many more things because of the subway.

Excellent!
Perfect location close to Grand Central Station so it was easy to get everywhere we wanted to go. The room was very clean, the beds comfy and the bathroom sparkled. The coffee maker did not work but I am sure it would have been replaced if I had bothered to ask. I just went to the Starbucks on the next block.

New York trip
We stayed at the Marriott East Side on Lexington and 49th. The rooms were fabulous, staff was courteous and the location was excellent. We saw a Broadway show and caught a [...]tour - all within walking distance.
