Dining

Aspen Social Club Restaurant
Rocky Mountain ski lodge meets swank hotel bar at The Aspen Social Club. As the midtown outpost of uber-chic W. 22nd Street eatery and lounge Aspen, this alluring midtown Manhattan tapas bar boasts a vibe that is cozy, sleek, and eye-popping. Call it "modern rustic sophistication" -- with wonderful touches like a curved wood-plank ceiling, acid-etched glass walls, and a dense canopy of illuminated antlers above the dining room leaving you feeling like you spent some time at altitude. And the cuisine more than holds its own. Chef Adam Ross has crafted a comfort food menu with Colorado flair. As the night progresses, this New York City tapas restaurant takes it up a notch with hypnotic house music and an artisanal cocktail menu that longtime Aspen resident Hunter S. Thompson would've loved.

Trip with my gf to see the Christmas Tree

Would not recommend Tue, Dec 8, 2015
Almost 300$ for a broom closet. Not even a queen bed, the room smelt, the shower was horrible and the AC had the biggest rattling noise when it kicked on. Loud enough to wake me up in the middle of the night. Will not be coming back here

Just OK

Would not recommend Thu, Oct 15, 2015
We were in town to see SNL so the location was perfect, just a few blocks away from 30 Rock and right off times square. The price was alright but the room was very small. There were a few things that bothered me as well: The lighting was terrible, my wife could hardly see putting her make up on, the bathroom sick water pressure was low, the floor had a noticiable uneven spot and the TV was not HD. Simple things that should not happen in any hotel IMO.

Had it not been for the location

Would not recommend Mon, May 11, 2015
When booking I upgraded my room to a Superior Queen and on arrival was given room 615. This has got to be one of the worse rooms in the hotel. It is the size of a shoebox, horribly dark a dull due to a very small window, dark furniture and horrid dark silver wallpaper. The room was depressing and I am sure a prison cell would have been more spacious and appealing. The air con did not work, it remained at 75F and the days were to get hotter. The light in just inside the door did not work and the door latch was loose as the screws were almost out. The shower and tiles in the bathroom looked as though they had not been properly cleaned in years but they were in fact clean it was just the way they looked. Thankfully I was moved the next day to room 504 which was a lot better but still had some issues. I would say the only thing going for this hotel is the location The

NYC trip

Would recommend Tue, Feb 3, 2015
There was construction going on that was very loud and we were put into a small room facing it. When I spoke to the staff about it they were very accommodating and moved us to a larger room further away which was great and very quiet.

Entertainment hint

Super close to all the Broadway theatres. If you are there to see shows this is a perfect hotel to book.

Terrible Hotel

Would not recommend Mon, Sep 29, 2014
Staff were lovely, room was nice. However the phone was broken in the hotel room, couldn't make a call. The noise in the room was unnatural. Couldn't sleep at night, they need new windows in all hotel rooms. I go to New York City on a holiday every year, there is many fabulous hotels around. Unfortunately as much as id like to recommend this hotel to my friends, will not be recommending this hotel to anyone after my sleepless experience.

Lovely looking but...

Would not recommend Tue, Apr 23, 2013
Done up beautifully and location great but room tiny, queen size bed I paid for seemed smaller than a UK double, the sir conditioning was as loud as an aircraft taking off and we did know the facilities available - check in staff told us nothing and there was no inclined the room. Seems to me they are taking advantage of their location.

Don't Let the Pictures, or the name, Fool You!

Would not recommend Fri, Apr 19, 2013
I do not like writing these letters, however, it may help this hotel get it's act together! I have been a loyal, and loving, customer of the Night Hotel 45st since it opened a few years back. I decided to try their newly acquired Night Hotel on 47st. A MASSIVE DISAPPOINTMENT! Here we go. I never felt welcome, just felt like they were allowing me to borrow the room for a night. The rooms were tiny, not that 45st are much larger, but the layout is better. No closet. No drawers. Bed was uncomfortable. Bathroom was dirty. 2 large dark hairs in the shower. Front desk never told me about the other elevator, that takes way too long. I don't mind paying for WIFI, but for each item?!?! Oh, I almost forgot, the construction right outside my window. I'm sure they will, and can, continue to get guests. I really expected more from this hotel group. A hotel company name really means something. I hope this will not tarnish it!

Good, except for those elevators

Would recommend Fri, Apr 5, 2013
Good staff, sleek-but-busy lobby - due to the free WiFi (you must pay for in-room access if booking with this site) but the s-l-o-w-e-s-t elevators in all of Manhattan. Tiny too, for American sensibilities, but very European in style. Small rooms, but clean and nicely efficient; bathrooms too. Very international clientele when I was there...
