Large room with complete kitchen

We were very pleased by the space (large bedroom, living room combined with dining room, full bathroom and kitchen) and the staff. The rooms were very clean. We will come back and share the space with another couple to save money. Also ideal when you don't mind cooking to save a bit on restaurants bills.

Clean & Welcoming - Worthy of a Look

Annually, my family (self, husband, son) go to NYC for 24hrs b/t Christmas & New Year's to look at the store windows & eat at some favorite restaurants. I booked a room at Murray Hill Suites Hotel based on price & location. It was easy to walk to all the stores with the cool holiday window displays, so location was great! The doorman was just wonderful & helpful and so was the front desk staff, though we didn't need any special services. We did get a nice surprise when we checked in - our room was upgraded and we ended up in one of the 3 suites on the top floor with a full kitchen, separate bedroom with 2 queen size beds large living room/dining room area and a balcony. My son was so enthralled with the place and wished we could've stayed longer. The only drawback I found in the room was the channel selection on cable/TV was small. There didn't seem to be any children's channels. Luckily my son likes Discovery, TLC & the History Channel. Not that we were in our room for a whole lot of time, so the outdated furniture & wallpaper in the kitchen didn't bother us at all. I would definitely recommend this hotel & consider staying there again, as long as the person looking for a recommendation doesn't mind that there is no hotel restaurant nor on-site parking. Parking was only about a block away, so not too inconvenient.

good holiday outing

The hotel was excellent in location. the room was a little old and smelled a little musty, bathroom was real small, but shower was nice. For the price and location it was a very good buy. Would probably stay there again.

Clean, Comfortable & Central

2 rooms and family of five. Comfortable and centrally located. Kitchenette in rooms was a great feature. Staff were quite good though we received no assistance with our six cases upon arrival which was disappointing and alarming - however the rest of the stay we were treated with courteousy

Great Hotel

I did not know what to expect from the Murry Hill East Hotel, and am pleasantly surprised how pleasant it was. The suite was clean and spacious, close to restaurants, super markets, cabs, and museums. I t was equivalent of having a spacious apartment in a very safe and beautiful part of New York. I highly recommend this hotel for families. We would not consider staying anywhere else. We definitely lan to return to this hotel next year!
