NO BETTER LOCATION IN NY! Beautiful lobby, beautiful rooms. Friendly staff! Only thing that could be better is to have small fridge in the room as the ice machine was FAR away. Will stay again!

A lovely overnight get-away!

Nice room! We received an upgrade when we arrived to a much larger room. A lower floor did not accommodate a great view, but the room was comfortable with nice old-world charm. A great location to the theater district and many fine restaurants.

AWESOME HOTEL

The staff is friendly, the rooms are clean and COMFY...great beds and pillows. Also, the hotel is very quiet, which we liked. Only negative is the ice machine is so far away and there are no refrigerators in the rooms. Would like to stay here again. Very Central location to visit NYC!

Big room

Very large room, and not just by New York standards. Nicely furnished and very clean. Complimentary pastries and coffee for breakfast were a nice addition, even if ithe fare was a bit limited. Close to Broadway theaters. Nearby restaurants nothing special (with the exception of Bar Americain) unless you like steak houses, which are in abundance here. All in all, an excellent choice for a midtown boutique hotel.

Hotel delight

Having not been to NYC since 1978 we didn't know how we were going to fare. The Michelangelo Hotel could not have been better. The hotel is elegant, the room was large, very quiet, and beautifully maintained every day. Lovely bed and linens, great huge towels, temperature was perfect. We were on the 5th floor overlooking 51st and we were not bothered at all about noise. The staff could not be more helpful or seemingly cheerful-many knew our names by the second day. We would highly recommend this hotel.

Fun in New York

Great stay in a not widely advertised but great stay in the city. It is well situated for all of the theater District and great restaurants. The rooms are very comfortable and have all the amenities. It has the kind of focus on comfort seen in European hotels. It is well worth the stay and definitely worth the cost. Other hotels in the area are far more pricey and far less comfortable.

Wonderful four days in NY

This has got to be the best hotel in NY City. The comfort, cleanliness, staff, bar, location...we have found no other hotel that even compares. We were upgraded to a suite on this trip and were wowed by the beautiful space. The staff is helpful, very pleasant and personable. The bartender was exceptionally personable and really funny! The Michaelangelo is close to broadway shows, shopping, great restaurants, etc. We will definitely be back.....hopefully in October!

Romantic Stay!

Amazing location! Gorgeous hotel. The only reason I am not giving this a 5 is our room was suppose to be 450 square feet as stated and it certainly was not and no view Staff was great. The bed comfort was superb and super clean! Will definitely come back.

We saw Jersey Boys which was an amazing show. Literally right around the corner. Also had a really fun breakfast at Ellen's Stardust Diner which was great and we highly recommend. Dinner if you are looking for great food but not fancy go to Tony D'Napoli's.. Awesome Shrimp Parmesan along with the best White Sangria! Yummy!
