Expected more...
The bad - Staff was impolite, there were some large fans under the window making noise and there was no safe in the room although it was listed in the ad and reservation. The good - Location and room cleanliness Conclusion - I won't be going there again...

Vacation to NYC
The location of this hotel is excellent, just one block away from time square. However, the room is small and its not very comfortable. We would choose room comfort rather than location.

Amazing Location, Beautifully Remodeled
Work is still happening at the MIlford, but the rooms that are done are beautiful (Small, but expect that in Manhattan), but no refrigerator in them. Everything about the room was nice, a good view, new everything. The staff was great, very accommodating. The location could not have been any better. One block from Times Square, just steps away from a number of Broadway Theaters. Almost on top of the #4 train that takes you anywhere you could want in the city.

Overall not too bad
Only stayed for 4 nights and service and staff were nice and helpful. Room was clean and comfortable and the best part is that the location of the hotel Is only a few minutes away from many of the major areas in new York. Amenities seemed tO be lacking. The hotel was under construction outside and in while I was there so inside of my floor wasn't too flattering to look at, the room was nice but then I would wake up to workers on a lift right outside my window.

Nice for a short stay
We were in a king room but the room was very small. That was ok for us as we didn't plan on spending a lot of time in the hotel. The decor, while modern, was a little too industrial for me (I prefer warm colors) but it was clean and efficient.. The staff was super responsive and accommodating. The location was right in the middle of the theater district and close to everything.

The room was small. There was construction going on next door and above floor, lots of disturbance in the morning.

Not again
The bed was comfortable, location was good and there was a safe, ironing board and hair dryer. There was not, however a coffee pot, they charged extra ($14.95) for wi-fi (without confirming) and it was hard to get someone to answer the phone. The decor was minimalist, contemporary and a little tacky. There was no room service, and no general information about hotel amenities. Found out, after asking, that the gym facilities were at another hotel. Feel misled. We won't stay there again. Fell in the hotel, requiring a visit to the ER. The hotel did not follow up with me or even offer to pay for the cab ride.

Proud NY'er
Wait Until Renovations Are Done
A few years back I would frequently stay at the Milford because of its value. This past weekend my fiancee and I booked it for a getaway, and we were quite let down. First, we drove past it three times trying to find it, only to discover that its name was hidden by scaffolding and renovation work. The entire hotel is in a state of upheaval. We were "upgraded" to a supposedly nicer room, but found ourselves in something less than a college dorm room, still in the middle of incompleted renovations. Mattress was much too soft resulting in two nights worth of backaches. Could hear the conversations from the room next door. If you're considering this hotel, this seasoned NYC traveler suggests you wait until renovations are finished. It just wasn't worth it.
