Shopping tip: Long walk from hotel

Breakfast buffet was not complete when we were there. Restaurant was not finished so we had to go back out to get something for dinner or order out. No room service available. Heater creaked and cracked all night. Room was a little tight but very clean. Floors were heated which was really nice. Hotel staff was very helpful ,friendly and helped us find things we needed and and helped us find our way around the city. I would stay there again but it is a long way from Times Square if you want to walk.

When I arrived at the hotel I was told that i had been upgraded to a suite, the suite consisted of a large bedroom with a walk in closet.the living room was even larger. both rooms had large tis. there was a small kitchen and several other closets as well as many bureaus. It even had a library that came in handy during hurricane Irene all this came at a really low price

The Lombardy!

The Lombardy was a dream come true. We had a king deluxe suit and weathered huricane Irene in the comfort of this suit. Our room had a foyer, a kitchenette, a very clean and beautiful living room, a huge bed and a wonderful shower. All rooms are different so if you're looking for a treat ask for room 908!

April NY Trip

The Lombardy Hotel was chosen because of it's excellent location for my needs. The room and it's cleanliness were excellent - the bed wonderful. Hotel staff were beyond snooty almost to the point of rudeness, however. The 'Contintental Breakfast' was a sugarlover's dream but lacked any protein substance and was located in a somewhat dreary room that seemed an afterthought. Amenities? None were offered.

Great NYC bargain!

The Lombardy is an old fashioned hotel. Large rooms with high ceillings. Small but adequate bathroom where everything works. The bedroom was large and luxurious and couldn't have been more comfy. This place is a real bargain. In addition it is convenient to the 6 line for museum goers. Only disappointment was the continental breakfast which was really bad with awful pastries which are hard to come by in the mecca of good food. We will be back anyway.

The Lombardy is a great secret

I've stayed at the Lombardy when I go to NYC for a good 20 years now. It's a spotless, tony East-side residential hotel, with a couple of floors of "rooms to let." This means that they are all, in effect, apartments, with much more space than you can get for the money anywhere else in the city. Many even have kitchens if you need that. The staff has always been very attentive; they actually seem to care that your stay is satisfactory. Add this one to your list.
