Can't find better
The hotel has recently been renovated--all is fresh, new and attractive. I have a bad back and have trouble sleeping, but the mattress here was so good, my back felt great. We tried to lift the sheets to see the make of the mattress, but it was encased. The hotel is in a perfect spot, near 5th, central park and the theater district. We did not need to take taxis.

The bar inside the hotel is a little pricey, but has fantastic drinks. They are well worth the money for the amount of alcohol they put in the drink.

Great Location
Great location to take in a play and visit a museum. Could walk to just about every thing I wanted to do. A notch above other places Istayed in the city. The room service food was outstanding!

Great weekend getaway
Nice location, our room was ready when we arrived around 10 am so that was a pleasant surprise. It was fine - nothing special honestly. If I had paid rack rate I would have been disappointed [...] My only complaint is that the room was hot - we couldn't get the A/C to cool the room down and it was a warm September weekend. And no coffee maker in the room - bummer.

Weekend Stay
Nice and friendly staff. Excellent location for 5th Ave shopping and Central Park. While the rooms have been upgarded, oddly enough the entrnace door to the room in our case was not.....looked very worn out. The individual room thermostats seem unresponsive. But all in all, a terrific value.

good location, good price to some extent
The hotel itself is nice, the rooms are clean and the bathroom as well, just one thing to take into consideration is that the breakfast is not included, and if you take one in the hotel it will cost you a lot.. really, too expensive and not worth it, you can go outside in the neighborhood where you get it much cheaper and of course much better.

theatre weekend
the staff were very pleasant but did not go out of their way to be friendly with greetings or such. I spent three nights, seeing 3 plays and hitting all the major art museums and found the location quite good , it is fairly central to all the cultural hot spots

Asked for a room that was on a high floor away from street noise and was given a great room...checked our bags with ease when the room was not ready, room lacked information about the city, went to bar and had a beer and 1 mixed drink and the cost was unbelievable, $ 23.00 for both...a bit pricey, overall pleased with the hotel
