Brand New and Terrific
This trip we explored the city's West side from the hotel. Very convenient access to the West side areas of the City with the location on the west side of 8th Avenue. We enjoyed the liveliness of the Greenwich Village/West Village area to just a bit further north in the Meatpacking District. Fantastic restaurants, nightlife and shops throughout these areas of the City and can be easily accessed via short subway rides or take a cab ($5.00 to $10.00) depending how far you venture south from the hotel. Walking is also easy - wear comfortable walking shoes and a good way to explore and get a good feel for the different neighborhoods.

Great location - 1 block or less to at least 6 major Broadway theaters and much quieter than being right in the middle of Times Square.

Fantastic Base for New York!!
Because of the location of the hotel we managed to do all the major sights for first time visitors to New York. The hotel was fantastic for a super place basically used for a clean bed and bathroom, with superbly polite, helpful and knowledgeable staff on every level. The rooms had everything and more and as a new hotel with everything fresh and shiny it was fab!

The Birdland Jazz Club, which is directly opposite the hotel, is a great venue. Music is fantastic, food is fine, the price of the show is less than that of a broadway show and is therefore great value.

New York city holiday trip
The hotel is new and spotless; our room was very comfortable with down comforters, robes and plush towels in the bathroom. The lobby bar has a fireplace and the service was excellent, even though it was crowded. The hotel location is perfect for theatre goers and close enough to Times Square without being right in the thick of things. The staff was very helpful and we were checked in quickly and efficiently. The only criticism was the concierge was late one morning when we needed to book a car and he didn't get back to us until after 5:00 p.m. But there were always taxis waiting just outside the door, so it really wasn't a problem.
