Mt. Sinai visit
I stayed here because my mother was having a procedure at Mt Sinai Hospital and had to stay overnight. Hotel is only 7 blocks from hospital so it was only a 5 minute walk. Very convenient. Hotel was very nice. Room was extremely clean and spacious. Would recommend this hotel to everyone!!!

Worst value-price ever
First of all I pay for a King suite, and it turned out to be, not only not nice at all but I couldn't even rest because it wasnt sound proof. The bathroom shower was horrible, as well as the towels, etc. Probably the only decent thing was the bed I wouldn't recommend it to anyone, and I myself would never stay in there again

Not worth the price
Close to main attractions but rooms were too small. No fridge or microwave. Many complaints at desk room temperature. Staff appeared oblivious to hotel goings on.

A Room without a View
It was basically very good but I think that $300 a night(all inclusive) is too much for what I got. The room was tiny and the windows view only into a light well. Otherwise, the hotel is just fine.

Recent Stay in New York
Although the room was very small, we were fine. The bed linens were clean and quite nice. I need a very firm mattress and the bed was very soft so it caused me a little discomfort (not the hotel's fault). Breakfast is included in the cost of room. There is very little variety but we were able to find enough to eat and start our day off right. It is about a 6 block walk (nice) from the metro so that is convenient. The hotel is also a very short distance from the "Museum Mile" along the edge of the park. Also an great walk. Excellent location for our trip.

Wales Hotel New York
While the hotel staff were polite and professional, I regret to say we laughed because our stay was THAT awful. We booked several weeks in advance on-line, using an agent to call the hotel to verify our information. However, problems were; 1. When we arrived, the hotel had no record of us and we had to wait 20 minutes. Not a big deal. 2. Our room, #302 overlooked an airshaft. No big deal. 3. Our room, perhaps 12'x12' was okay by NY standards, but the tired old nightstands looked like they were from goodwill, the pea-green walls were sad, the door had holes and chunks missing and there was no art or attempt to make it cheerful. The giant yellow ladder in the hall outside our room was awkward to maneuver. Our room number on the door was written on blue duct tape. No big deal. 4. The bathroom door had an ear-splitting creak if you touched it. No big deal. 5. Construction and sawing began 9 am somewhere close. This would not have been a big deal except it was Sunday and we had spent almost $400.00 for a relaxing one-night stay. 6. The new and beautiful shower had 2 temperatures; ice-cold and scalding. BIG DEAL as it could not be used after testing it repeatedly to make sure it was disfunctional. 7. The air conditioner set on sleep mode cycled on and off all night, leaving the room cycling between swelteringly airless and deafeningly noisy. 8. Every floor stank overwhelmingly of bacon the next morning, while the complimentary breakfast served fruit, muffins and coffee. On the plus side the coffee was very good, the location great, and the service respectful. But it was NOT worth $400.00.
