great birthday treat
l would definately come back to this hotel, everything was great, staff very friendly. location excellent. Would recommend everyone to take the shuttle to airports as we were charged extreme charges when the yellow cab didn't turn up as promised so had to take a black cab charging us 160 dollars and the other couple in the car 180 dollars for a one hour trip so be warned.

Great for your money, super friendly staff
I needed a place last minute to start a new job the next day that was affordable. The location was incredible, two stops from my new job in the flatiron district. The room was small but all I needed. Big shower and comfortable bed. James at the Front Desk is a great man, friendly, fun and caring.

Great for the price
I gave this 5 stars, understanding I mean this is top quality for a 3-star hotel. It's not a 5-star hotel. But it's comfortable, clean, elegant and simple -- a great deal when I stayed there, and I'd definitely go back.

Places like this normally cost twice as much
Simple, clean and nice, but an excellent deal at under $150/night. The continental breakfast (included) was a pretty good spread too.

Top notch business travel VALUE for NY today
If you can get competitve prices like I got, the value of the hotel and the midtown location are great. It has been years since I have gotten a better price value than this. The staff was great too - helpful & friendly. I put this in the competitive set with the new lower-end offerings of the higher end name brand hotels - "the cheap Marriott" with at least equal property, amenity and service but at HALF the price.

Great stay for business
Had a business meeting in town together with a friend. I booked the hotel online and then called them to ask for a room with 2 beds. When I came, the receptionist had a comment on file about the 2 beds and I got the "meeting room" - a big room with 2 single beds that I guess can convert to a meeting room. It was great for us, very clean and the location was great (walking distance to Penn Station). Great value! Will definitely return!

Weekend getaway
Hotel metro was a wonderful place. Close to Penn Station and just a short walk to Times Square and Rockefeller Center. Who could believe that the weather would reach 60 degrees in December.
