- Standard room is run of house with one double or two twin beds. Max 2 people. - The Metro Grill serves lunch and dinner M-F, dinner only S-S. Our bar and cocktail lounge are open until 11:00pm Sun-Thur, and 12:am F-Sat.

- The roof terrace is open seasonally for our guests during most daytime hours. During the evenings, weather permitting, a bar that is also open to the public operates and while guests are certainly welcome, they need to make reservations with the restaurant for a table. On rare occasions the roof is booked as a party space and access can be limited or restricted during those periods (usually just a few hours per event).

Great Location
Although the room was very small, it was among the cleanest I've ever wittessed. The subway is only a block away creating very easy travel to all parts of the city. The staff was pleasant although never really outgoing except for the doorman who held our luggage on the last day for a late flight. I thought the hotel a good value for NYC considering the location and cleanliness. The continental breakfast was a very nice bonus and the breakfast area was large and comfortable.

Great Central Location
We were very pleased with the location of Hotel Metro. The subway stop is 34th St/Herald Square, which ties into just about everything. Saturday night we took a leisurely walk up Broadway to hustling and bustling Times Square. There are lots of good places to eat just steps away from the hotel. The hotel itself is a compact, art deco style property. Our room, a single, was also compact, but the bed was quite comfortable. We encountered a problem when our teenage daughter's lodging plans fell through on our second night and she needed to stay with us instead. No rollaway available, and 3 people in a double bed was cramped to say the least! Service was helpful. The doorman pointed out where we could find a vision center close by when we needed an emergency set of contacts. We did try to check in a couple hours early, which didn't work, but were able to check our bags, go out to eat and then check in.

Across the street is a very Irish Irish Pub--Brendan's--with very good food. I didn't hear a single American accent among any of the customers or staff--clearly a popular spot for folks from across the pond.

Great location
Hotel Metro is a wonderful boutique hotel, the room was perfect for two people, it was a lovely surprise to see how clean it was, and nicely decorated. We encountered no problems whatsoever during our stay, the staff could not have been more helpful, and the complimentary breakfast in the morning is perfect to start your day. Close to 5th Avenue,Rockefeller Center,St. Patrick's Cathedral, the shops of 5th Ave., Macy's are all within easy walking distance of the hotel. Would highly recommend and definitely stay here again. What a view of the Empire State Building from the hotel! Subway just down the block,taxi's always around, lovely lovely lovely!

5th Avenue shops short walking distance! Wonderful restaurants are a taxi ride away, try Pigalle for a wonderful french meal. Shame the Barnie's Coffee closed in Macy's, Starbucks there now, the coffee is not as good as Barnie's!

Emplacement idéal
Séjour en mai 2013. Hotel tres agréable! Depuis la terrasse vu sur l'empire state building , juste énorme. Notre chambre donnait sur une cour intérieure de ce fait super calme..au petit déj des supers muffins délicieux. Les chambres très propre, serviette de bain changer tous les jours. Hotel vraiment tres bien. J'y retournerai c'est sur.

zentral, preiswert, super Service
Das Hotel ist sehr zentral gelegen. Ein breites Shoppingangebot befindet sich in direkter Nachbraschaft (z.B. Macy's). Ebenso ist das Empire State Building gleich um die Ecke. Sollte man sich einmal verlaufen hat man also immer einen guten Anhaltspunkt um wieder zurück zu finden.

Parfait et bien situé

Asiallinen hotelli asialliseen hintaan
NYC:n mitoilla 3++. Sijainti varsin hyvä, siisti, rauhallinen, Hintaan sisältyy poikkeuksellisesti aamiainen, joka on myös asiallinen.

Erittäin hyvä ja kohtuuhintainen! Hyvä sijainti. Aamiainen iso plussa. Varauksen yhteydessä ei voinut valita haluaako erilliset sängyt.

Bien placé
Hôtel bien placé, très proche du métro et de l empire state building. Petit déjeuné compris dans le prix, même si nous n'avions pas réservé cette option. Superbe terrasse sur le toit en été... Vu imprenable sur l'Empire State... Négatif: Notre chambre donnait dans la cours intérieure qui comprenait la ventilation bruyante de l'hôtel. Ceci 24/24H. Nous avons quand même réussi à bien dormir, car le ronronnement de la ventilation nous berçait. Mais elle dérangera les personnes aimant le calme.

Les boutiques de souvenirs au coins de la rue vendent les mêmes articles officiels du NYPD qu'au musée. Le plus, ils ont tous les articles alors qu'au musée, il en manque. :)
