Great stay, friendly staff, accessible to so many places in NYC
Not only was the price reasonable, but the room was clean, the staff were extremely helpful and the free breakfast was delicious. Also, the concierge was very knowledgable and helped me to find my way to the subway (5 minute walk). Central to Times Sq., Penn Station and features a perfect view of the Empire State building.

Money-saving tip:
Short walk from hotel
The subway is easier to use than I thought. Definately use it as opposed to taking taxis everywhere- that is how you can save a few bucks.

Hotel Metro for a Mom and her teenage son
We checked in and there was no room with two twin beds, just one with a double. My son immediately said he would sleep on the floor. The front desk clerk overheard this and upgraded our room for free to a family deluxe. And deluxe it was! Super clean, nicely decorated, excellent beds, safe although on a side street near the Empire State Building. Simple continental breakfast was included in the price. We stayed there two nights with mostly European guests (British and German). Highly recommend this hotel as a little gem.

Good travel
Great boutique hotel
We had a very short trip scheduled in Manhattan. Staying at Hotel Metro worked perfectly for us. We were able to walk to all of our destinations, had a very clean and comfortable room, and enjoyed our visit.

great value, great location
Had to book a very last minute hotel in NY. This was very inexpensive. I booked one room for myself and daughter. Upon checkin, we were informed that they had upgraded us to a family room. Separate bedroom with its own door, another room with two doubles, and a bathroom with an extra since outside the door so multiple family members could use it. It felt extravagant for just the two of us. Price included a complementary continental breakfast. Great location, easy to get to via car. Also had a great rooftop terrace looking out at the empire state building. Would be lovely in warm weather

Great Location & Nice Staff
We arrived early at the hotel and our room was not ready, the staff was very nice about storing our bag while we explored the city until our room was ready. The concierge's service was not up to par with what I was expecting. When asking about a local restaurant, the concierge had no clue what I was talking about and it took the front desk and door man to tell me that it was a block and a half away. We also inquired about 9/11 memorial tickets and he stated they were sold out. When arriving at the 9/11 preview site, we saw they had an abundance of tickets and were able to get some without issue. All in all, the hotel is a very nice and clean hotel. The room was bigger than expected and was located close to all we wanted to see and do. We will be going back again.

Perfect location for walking Broadway, Times Square and Fashion Avenue
This was a great location. It was perfect for walking to the Upper East and West Side- to everything. Broadway, shopping and Central Park just a short walk. The Empire State Building and Macy's just a block over.

Perfect location
Hotel Metro is located perfectly within walking distance of great shops, sights, and subways. It was an excellent choice for us as we just needed a nice, clean place to stay while we journeyed throughout the city. The rooftop lounge has an amazing view of the Empire State Building! Continental breakfast never hurts either!
