Great hotel; Best in Chelsea. Staff goes extra mile! Comfortable beds and the best breakfast in the morning that you could ask for! You won't need to eat anything the rest of the day. Very, Very Accommodating Right by Madison Square Gardens. You can walk, shop everywhere. Super close to Times Square. Room was small but the price; you can not beat!.

Exactly what you expect from a Holiday Inn Express!
I was worried that this was some sort of converted old hotel that was now a "Holiday Inn Express", but if that was the case they did a spectacular job. I was at the hotel for business, and it provided exactly what I would expect for the price and type of hotel. The room was exceptionally clean, had free wi-fi, and an excellent selection of channels on TV. The free breakfast was the same as at other HIE I have stayed at in the past. Staff was very helpful and friendly. Rooms were relatively quiet. Bathroom was quite clean. I would not hesitate to stay here again, nor would I hesitate to stay here on a vacation rather than business. If your needs are basically a place to say in the city, without too many frills, this is all you need!

Good value, but no 5 star hotel
The staff were all quite pleasant, and the room was clean. If you think "Inexpensive European hotel" you'll have the right expectations. My expectations may have been a bit too high. This was a fine place for the price. However, I literally got the _last_ room in the hotel. Which meant it was in the basement, next to the elevator and across from the vending machines. Coupled with the fact there was no shelf of any type in the bathroom, and the toilet lid was broken. This meant I had to set all my toiletries on the floor. Otherwise things were fine, room clean but small.

In the heart of it all
The staff was great and very accomodating. The location was truly in the heart of it all. The rooms were on the small side, but they were very clean, quiet and good for the price. I had a great experience in the hotel and with the staff - I would recommend this hotel to anyone.

EXCELLENT
For the price, I found this hotel to really be a Gem. You can get some shady hotels in that area...this one was great, very very clean and for being on 29th street it was amazingly quite!! A very quick walk to Madison Square Gardens.

Good for my purposes
The hotel experience was fine, what WAS NOT fine was the hassle that Orbitz put me through when I needed to extend my stay by another night. You would think that they would make it easy to extend a stay and take my money, but I spent a couple of hours on the phone and a lot of trouble to stay an extra night. The hotel could not help me because I booked through Orbitz. Your own staff didn't know how to do it, like no one ever extends their stay? I spoke to three different people before I got a simple one night extension and I did all this a week before I actually traveled. What would it have been if I was already on site and trying to extend. Get a more user friendly way to do a common procedure. Darrel Ray
