Very friendly and helpful

It's in a great location and the staff was very helpful. I checked in way early and they called me the minute they had an open room. The only thing I didnt like about the hotel was the fact that by the elevators to get to the street there is a condo selling booth. While listening to the speil you get a free drink in the bar the saleman who was there was kind of a jerk and condecending when you tell him you are not interested plus the fact he solicits as you get on/off the elevator is irritating. That is my only complaint so all in all a great experience.

The subway system is really easy to navigate and extremely close to the hotel. It was so much easier to deal with if it was too far away to walk then dealing with cabs.

Great Location

Our overall experience at this hotel was average. However, one thing we absolutely loved was the location. It is within walking distance to Times Square and many other places such as Broadway theaters, Rockefeller Center, Bryant Park, Empire State Building, and more and only a few minutes away if you take a cab to Central Park, Chelsea, Soho, the financial district, Chinatown and Little Italy. The staff service was average except for the representative who did our check-in. He was extremely courteous and professional.

Sightseeing tip: Short walk from hotel

Night in the town is an excellent tour. Tour begins at 6pm and ends around 10:30 pm. They take you around the city at night and then to the ferry to go around the statue of Liberty including a champagne toast. Also, you get to go inside Chelsea Market, Highland Park and you have dinner at Little Italy and tickets to go up to the Rockefeller Tower. Great value tour!

Good for a quick getaway

Room was too cold, and thermostat could not be adjusted. Manager had to bring up a space heater.

NYC Weekend

The Hilton Times Square is a great place to stay. The location just can't get any better. Views from the rooms are great, and everything you want is right outside the door. Being in the heart of Times Square with access to restaurants, shopping, transit, etc is what NYC is all about, but you also have the quiet and luxury of this hotel once you go inside. I upgraded to the corner room option. There is no way I would do that again. The "corner" added about 2 feet of window space, which didn't allow me to be able to see anything additional that I couldn't out of the regular window. And the curtain covered most of that 2 feet, even when pulled to the side. But that is really my only complaint about the hotel. The staff was very friendly and helpful throughout the stay. The room was clean and very spacious. I would stay here again without upgrading to the corner room.

Fathers Day Gift

Took my husband here for a Fathers Day gift. Its in a great location. From the room we could see down to 42nd street and the view from the 28th floor was spectacular. We took in a Broadway play and had dinner nearby. All in all, a great gift.
