Great Location, Good Value

We were thrilled with our hotel location. The subway was only a block away. It was close to Times Square without being in the middle of all the mayhem. It was also close to the show we saw (Avenue Q), great restaurants, and to the fashion district where we went shopping for bridesmaids dresses (the reason for our trip). We were also thrilled with the price considering our room had two queen beds. Four of us stayed and having the queen beds instead of the full size made a huge comfort difference. A hot breakfast and internet were included with the room which added to the great value. Our only complaint was we ended up in the room next to the elevator and it did keep us up. Regardless, the price and location made the experience worthwhile. If we can get the same deal, we will use that hotel again.

See if you can get a discount ticket for a broadway or off broadway show through stub hub or one of the other sites like that. Going to a show is all part of the NYC experience and well worth it.

Girls' Theater Weekend

The hotel was in a great location to walk to Times Square, the Broadway theaters and Rockefeller Plaza. The continental breakfast was great in its quality and variety of options. Great value for such a good Midtown location. The bathroom was really small, but that's to be expected for most NYC hotels. I'd definitely stay here again if I came back to see more Broadway shows.

Famous Amadeus' Pizza one block down from the hotel had the best pizza and garlic knots for a very reasonable price. Another great place to eat cheaply near the hotel is the Cosmic Diner on the corner across from the Hampton Inn.

BEST CHOICE EVER!

We could NOT have made a better choice than to stay at this particular Hampton Inn! (except for one bad experience that was not the hotel´s fault). The room with 2 queen beds was very comfortable and well equipped, the hotel staff were very professional and friendly ALL the time (even when I had a complaint that they tried to resolve, due to somebody smoking in the next room & that smell coming through the air vents our last morning, that was totally objectionable), the standard Hampton Inn breakfast was very good & very well managed both mornings, and in addition to all of that, the hotel LOCATION was great to boot! I would highly recommend this hotel for future stays--not only for my own family and friends, but ALSO for anyone reading this evaluation! Thanks for a wonderful stay, Jennifer

Family break

Hotel clean, and staff very helpful and polite. Found buffet breakfast very plentiful and varied with tea, coffee and other beverages available 24 hours. Great location for sight seeing with most in walking distance or excellent bus or train services. Would strongly recommend and would stay here again although is quite expensive, but it is New York.

Pre-book tours and attractions before travel. Found New York City Pass saved time and money but would give hop on, hop off buses a miss as walking and tube is easier and quicker.

Great Holiday trip.

My husband and I enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The location couldn't have been any better--it was within easy walking distance to Times Square, Rockefeller Center, and to our theater. Everyone there was helpful and the breakfast was very good. We also used the subway for transportation and it was very close. The map provided by the hotel was useful and easy to read.

Average room but easy access to everything.

Make no mistake, you are paying for the location of this hotel. The room is average and would probably be $100 in any suburb. However, you are literally blocks from Time Square. Room is clean, staff is fine. No refrigerator in room which would have been nice. Other than that, hard to complain about anything.

Do some research of local establishments to try instead of having to do any of the chain restaurants which dominate TImes Square.
