More than pleasantly surprised, very very happy!

Warm welcome at the reception desk. Offered accommodations to suit our needs. Room was clean, neat, totally renovated--as was the whole hotel. Bar/restaurant was pleasant, comfortable and service was great. Allowed late checkout. Kept our bags until we were leaving Manhattan. Centrally located. Will be staying there again in the future.

Great Place/Great Location

We loved this hotel! The staff was extremely friendly during check-in. There were plenty of elevators, and it didn't seem crowded even though we were there the weekend following Thanksgiving when downtown was so crowded. The location is perfect for getting to the theatres and restaurants. Our room was very clean and comfortable. It will be our choice for our next visit to New York City.

Shopping tip: Short walk from hotel

The Grand Hyatt is next door to Grand Central Station. There are very nice booths with custom made jewelry, hats, scarves, etc. It was a nice surprise for us.

Grand Hyatt is Grand!

This is always my go-to hotel when I am in NYC and this time to my delight, it has been completely renovated. The rooms are gorgeous and the common and public areas are also gorgeous. This hotel will continue to be my home away from home in NYC. The rooms are very quiet, even the one I just stayed in close to an ice machine - I didn't hear a thing. Some rooms have views of the street scene - others just overlook another high rise building, but how much time does one spend in the room when you're in NYC?!?! Convenient location -a few avenue blocks from Times Square, and right on top of Grand Central Terminal and the food court there. You MUST stay here - you will love it.

Stayed during very busy weekend

We stayed over the Easter/Passover weekend, plus all of the sports teams were in town. Our room was not ready upon arrival, but Chris at the front desk was great. Room was really nice, and for being so busy, the hotel was quite. I will be back to stay again. EveC.

Wonderful Weekend in NYC

If real estate is location, location, location, then the Grand Hyatt was perfectly positioned to see all the sights you can imagine in NYC, whether by foot or via the subway at Grand Central Station. You can easily get to the best shopping, Central Park or Times Square (without the nighttime noise of staying in Times Square). The hotel was impeccably modern and clean (lovely lobby). We had an Executive King which was VERY spacious especially for New York, and even came with a large walk in closet!!! The only downside was the bathroom was small, with an oddly low/small sink. Everything made up for it. A nice touch is the fact that 5 elevators are for floors 14 to 24 and 5 are only for floors above 24, so you never have to wait (it's fast). Staff was super friendly. Definitely recommend and will stay there again.

Sightseeing tip: Not Applicable

Walk Brooklyn Bridge at sunset. Super easy to get to from Grand Central (take # 4, 5 or 6 train, the green line to Downtown) and exit at Brooklyn Bridge and you are literally right there. Really fast and cheap ($2.5 metro).
