Key facts

After mingling with fashion-forward locals in the upstairs cocktail lounge, guests can unwind with a dip in Gansevoort s private rooftop pool. Featuring the same open views of the city as the adjacent bar, it s heated to perfection for year-round access. Downstairs, delicious dishes are served at The Chester, a rustic restaurant that specializes in elevated American cuisine. The Gansevoort is within walking distance of quaint West Village restaurants, ground-breaking Chelsea art galleries and the High Line: A historic elevated rail that has been transformed into a one-of-a-kind public park. Dining

With 150 seats spanning across a bi-level interior and a full bar, The Chester, provides a seamless transition into the hotel lobby's lively decor.

40th Birthday celebration

Would recommend Wed, Jan 13, 2016
The hotel was excellent and far exceeded our expectations. It's location was in a great area with plenty of bars and restaurants and within easy walking distance of the subway. The concierge service was excellent, organizing my daughter's birthday cake and bubbly. Will definitely go back again.

Great weekend in meatpacking

Would recommend Mon, Aug 31, 2015
From London. Stayed in nyc for a week. Spent the weekend in the Gansevoort to party! Great location, pool was lovely (although few too many children!) and loved that we didn't have to queue to get into the roof top bar! The rooms were very comfortable too.

Very nice and clean hotel. A bit trendy, however would recommend to others. Doormen were very polite. Room did not have a good view, but the room was nice for what we needed.

Great Location

Would recommend Wed, May 13, 2015
Went to NYC for a family wedding. Stayed in this hotel as it was near to wedding venue. Hotel was in a great location, near to many trendy bars and restaurants. Close to a Subway station which made it easy to travel around. Hotel was spotlessly clean and staff were polite and helpful. Only one negative point - there is a lot of noise from the street at night. I was aware of this as I had read many reviews of the hotel and if you are one who stays up late this is not a problem. Overall we had a fantastic stay and I would recommend this hotel.

Wonderful Experience!!

Would recommend Mon, Apr 27, 2015
I stayed here looking for a nice relaxing getaway just to relax, unwind and have some fun. Between the great room which exceeded all my expectations and also the rooftop pool and bar this place is definitely somewhere I'd come back to again and again. Located right near Chelsea was perfect as there were some really cool bars and cafes which was just what I needed on my holiday.

Great Location!

Staff was friendly, rooms were spacious and very clean. Avoid the night club on the roof top, it is a bit Jeresy Shore.
