Nice room
The hotel location was perfect for us, tucked neatly between Times Square and 5th Avenue shopping, and across the street from one of Bobby Flay's restaurants. The lobby and amenities were nothing special, but our room was perfect for our needs and had a nice view.

Great location
Flatotel is located midway between uptown and downtown. Subways are short walking distance, so getting around the city is much easier due to loction. Rooms are large for NYC. Bed and pillows were comfortable and clean.. Noise was low as well. That being said, the rooms are spartan and nothing extra is provided. No extra blankets, pillows, towels, water. There is no mini bar, but there is a small refrigerator. There is a small "store" in the main lobby with snacks, water and various sundries, should you be short of the basics. We were not in our room much, so it suited our needs. Not very luxurious, but the price was lower than most other hotels in the area.

Great Birthday weekend.
The rate that I reserved seemed to be the best in the city over the Veteran's day holiday. We were pleasantly surprised to be given a huge room with a large bathroom & kitchenette. We weren't told by the front desk staff but it seemed that we may have been upgraded to a suite. The only issue was the elevators and the amount of time it takes to get up & down from the rooms. It was a little disappointing for the restaurant to be closed but we did realize that in advance of reserving.

NY Theatre Traveler
Great option near everything
Great hotel - nice, rather spacious rooms, nice bathrooms. Clean. Staff is efficient. Close to theatres and Times Square.

This is not a 4-star hotel as it is listed- beware1
I walked in, experienced the surly staff at the front desk, saw my smelly room that more resembled a large prison cell than a hotel room (electrical cords even hanging from outlets at the ceiling), then imediately checked out and went to a real 4-star hotel.

HORRIBLE HOTEL
1.- They announce 24 hours room service. The restaurant is closed. 2.- Have 2 elevators for 1-7 floor, 2 elevators for 8-46 floor plus one service elevator. The 8 days that I was there the service elevator was out of order and four days one elevator was broken. My room was in floor 45 and the first day I took moore than 20 min to go from 45 floor to the Loby. 3.-The Venetian blinds and the sofa were broken. IN BRIEF , IT WAS AWFUL

Great location and spacious room!
This hotel was definitely worth the price. Great location. The room was very clean, spacious, and comfortable. Not sure why some reviews said the rooms are outdated. The rooms are very modern. We will definitely be staying here again.

We ate at St. Andrews on West 46th Street. They have an amazing deal for $59.95 you get a three course meal which includes unlimited draft beer and wine. The food was excellent as well as the beer and wine selections. I highly recommend!

Hotel is clean, rooms are fairly large for NY. The elevators are very slow and I waited 10 minutes them to arrive each time I was coming and going.

Welcoming from the start. Courteous and Friendly staff got us to pour room quickly so we could drop off our bags, freshen up and hit the Big Apple.
