Ok but ,,,
Great location near the park, subway and Times Sq, however the hotel is a renovation and even with the TV on in your room you can hear people talking in the hall and slamming doors. The kitchen in the room was a plus for storing drinks.

There are some great places near the park and 58th street for intimate dinner and off the beaten path dining.

Great location, adequate hotel!
The staff was very friendly and accomodating. Our air conditioner was broken, and they immediately sent up an engineer who fixed the problem. The bell men were very helpfull and friendly. The rooms were clean but a little worn and out dated, but overall a good experience.

very disappointed
I have stayed here many times in the past, both on business and with my fmily. This room was ridiulous. I had no desk, no mirror(other than above sink), no ice bucket, no door tag, no clock. I called down for some of things, waited over an hour, then had to go to work. never got them. asked for a cab at 6:45, they told me to just ask when I came down. It took nearly 15 minutes. No one seemed especially concerned about my experience. They told me it was because I booked it on-line. Not Happy!

Good and o/k is how I would deccribe
Good and o/k is how I would deccribe the Hotel. The location is perfect and my room was large and well appointed. The amenities are few and far between. The worst thing about the Hotel is the elevators, their are only 3 to service 40 odd floors and the waiting time can be 10 minutes on occasions. Overall I would stay again..............please just fix the elevator problem.

NIce space, but needs refreshing
Nice suite with kitchen and living area, but all very old, worn and shabby- elevators slow, decor drab, drains slow, TV malfunctioned, just not very nice

First Time Trip to NY
Great Location!
It was a nice stay...nothing really to complain about. The shower was nice and strong and the room was decorated nice and clean.

Go to Maryellas at 57th & 7th Ave it is a cheap and excellent place to eat! It just so happened to be Oprah and Gales favorite pizza place! Also, there is a Bread Company on 57th as well that is just has good as 810 deli but cheaper and better!

A gem near Times Square
Very close to the theaters and to a subway stop. We too the Air Train to the end of the E line and came to within two blocks of the Flatotel. The lobby is dimly lit but stylish. the staff was professional. I was shocked by the size of the room. I was expecting something much smaller. The bathroom was large and nicely appointed. Our stay was quiet and as relaxing as one could expect doing the tourist thing. I will return next time I do Broadway and am recommending the hotel to friends. (The beds are very firm)

Try the Evergreen cafe just off Broadway. Looks like a "dive" but has good food at reasonable prices and a fun ambience.

Happy with location as in midlle
Happy with location as in midlle of NY, would stay again there and recommend friends and business co-workers travelling to NY to stay there as well. Great French cafe around the block [2 streets away towards time Sqaure] for a very fresh breakfast with great European coffee.

Nice and quiet!
The hotel staff was very accommodating, allowing us to re-register and hold our bags until the room was ready while we dashed off the the Met. Any question we had was answered quickly and accurately. The room was huge, clean, quiet, and had a great view! We were only there for one night but we will definitely be back!

not luxury
out dated. no heat in the room i called the front desk and told them i had no heat and i was stepping out if someone could take a look at it. they said no problem. i came back at 3am to no heat mind you it was in the 30s in nyc this weekend.
